Yairi POV
It's graduation day something makes me feel woozy. It's just nerves like Yanin said earlier today. It's a big day for us we worked our asses off to get this. I made valedictorian while Yanin made salutatorian. Pushing each other to do better is what we are good at and we made a bet that clearly I won. She better hold up her end of the deal I hope she even remembers. Yanin sprints in my room jumping on my bed which she knows I hate.
"What are you going to wear? Are we twinning it tonight or going in our own style?" she asked.
"Honestly I have no idea but let's make mom mad and do our own thing tonight" I responded.
Since we were born it's been same clothes, same hair style, same everything. Mom always says it's so people know you are twins like you can't already tell. The only difference is our eyes my eyes are orange almost red with specks of black, makes people scared of me sometimes, and Yanin's are a blue mixed with purple. Again not normal but I love our eyes we could have got lame basic colors and dull brown like my moms. I don't even remember my dad's eyes.
Thinking of my dad I wish he could be here with us. He died when we were 13 but mom wouldn't let us go to the funeral. She took us away when we were only 4 so I can say I don't remember him much. Maybe if he was here I wouldn't be so jittery.
"Earth to Yairi, are you even listening to me" Yanin asked annoyed.
I hadn't even realized I zoned out.
"Sorry" I retorted.
"I was saying we still have eight hours before graduation we can go cut your hair like you wanted mom is gone" she smiles mischievously.
"Hell yes let's go" I almost scream.
Yanin POV
I run as fast as I can into Yairi room jumping on her bed she hates it and I love it, making her mad that is.
"What are you going to wear? Are we twinning it tonight or going in our own style?" I asked.
"Honestly I have no idea but let's make mom mad and do our own thing tonight" she tells me.
Thank you I silently agree since before we could walk we have been dressed to look the same. Yairi is just quiet, headstrong, but a hell flame when she is mad. Not me I say what I want when I want I can be cold hearted and not bat an eye.
"Mom said she's meeting us at the auditorium said she needed to get us a refill so we have our medication when we leave for college. Did you still want to go cut your hair." I patiently wait for a response. No answer.
"Do you have any idea what you are going to say for your speech? I don't know about you but I am scared out of my mind." Again nothing, I look at Yairi and can tell she is deep in thought I wonder what she's thinking of.
"Earth to Yairi, are you even listening to me" I can hear the annoyance in my voice.
"Sorry" she says.
"I was saying we still have eight hours until graduation we can go cut your hair like you wanted mom is gone" flashing her my famous smile.
"Hell yes let's go" she practically yells.
Yairi POV
It's been three hours since we left the house and I did it mom is going to be p**** off. I got a pixie cut with red streaks which makes my eyes pop and my pitch black hair not look so dark. Just a ping of guilt for cutting my hair it was down to my hip but I couldn't keep it styled the way I wanted. I get in the house and go for my usual look again a look my mom hates. I grab my new black dress with chains and moon pendants hanging off the arm and around the waist. Paired with my red boots, fishnet stockings, and red fishnet gloves. I apply eyeliner and mascara that's the best I can do my make up never got in the scene like miss priss in the other room. I look myself over in the mirror and I look good. The red brings out my perfectly tan skin, the dress is short showing off my legs and a great view on my ass. My dress also makes the girls look magnificent with the perfect amount of cleavage. I better get with Yanin see if she approves my so called punk rock look as she calls it. I need to find my medicine first, maybe that's why I'm woozy, I couldn't find the bottle this morning. I am not taking Yanins like last time I ran out I can not get sick tonight. I can not find it I guess no medicine today.
Yanin POV
I am finally ready took long enough for the hair cut who would have known three hours to do that. I could have chopped it off in five minutes but I got mine trimmed up to my shoulder too. Now it's perfectly curled and pinned up with cute moon clips and bedazzled bobby pins. I grab my teal blue jumpsuit and my favorite lavender heels, to make my legs look longer and my ass phenomenal, with a moon pendant necklace my aunt gave me before we left. I have hid that necklace for the right day and today was it. I double check my makeup in the mirror before the final reveal to punk rock goddess. I swear I bet she isn't even in heels I think to myself. We walk out at the same time and I just stare my sister she is absolutely gorgeous.
"OH MY GOSH. I HAVE A NECKLACE LIKE THAT TOO." Yairi screams out, way to excited, and rushes back into her room.
She comes back out wearing a red glowing crescent moon pendant. I look down at mine disappointed that mine isn't glowing.
"Aunt Michelle gave it to me when we were little I didn't know you had one too" she smiles at me.
"How did you get yours to glow" I asked.
"I don't know I just put it on" she replies.
"Oh yeah before I forget have you seen my medicine bottle I can't find mine" Yairi asks.
"That's what I was telling you when you zoned out earlier mom took them to go get refilled today so we have them next week when we leave." rolling my eyes annoyed.
"Oh I didn't get to take it today" she squeaks.
"If mom finds out you missed one she is going to go ape s***" I said.
"I know I know but she didn't tell me anything before she left" she says. "Why do we take them anyway?"
"I don't know" I answered confused.
"Well let's get going don't want to be late for your big speech huh miss stage fright" Yairi laughs out.
"I do not have stage fright and for that you are walking" I said.
With that she pouts her lip and stomps her combat boots down the stairs and waits by the car. Laughing to myself she is so sensitive sometimes. Grabbing my keys we head out to the auditorium. Yes I just couldn't let her walk all the way.
