Graduation

Yanin POV

I link arms with Yairi and pull her away from our mother. Sometimes she is absolutely awful and that Andrew guy ugh gives me the creeps I swear. Staring out into the trees and smiling while nothing was there I watched the whole time.

"I'm sorry Yanin" Yairi says just above a whisper.

"Don't worry about it she was going to find something to b**** about anyways" I answered.

I'm still deep in thought when I hear a very low barely above a whisper.

"No dummy they don't feel us go back to sleep" says the voice.

I look at Yairi and asked "what did you just call me."Confusion written on her face.

"I didn't say anything Yanin" she says.

I shake my head and walk away something is familiar about that voice but I can't place it. We meet with Mrs. Adams to get our places and how they want us to walk in. She pulls me to the side a concerned look on her face and I know she saw what happened outside.

"Yanin are you and your sister going to be ok" she asks.

"Yes ma'am, just our average mom being her average self" I try to play it off.

"I saw what happened outside and just know I am proud of you two" she tells me.

A deep satisfaction comes over me and I gave her a hug thankfully it was returned. I didn't know how much I needed a hug until that moment. We get in our places it is time I reach out and grab Yairi's hand giving it a reassuring squeeze. She smiles as the music starts and we are off. I don't understand half of her speech she used words I don't think half the auditorium understood to be honest. We still clapped and cheered and now it's my turn. I feel a lump in my throat forming I think I'm going to throw up. Yairi gives me a thumbs up and that does it for me.

"Class of 2022 we did it. I know I am supposed to give some uplifting speech that we carry on over the years but let's be real. We probably will get easy jobs and some of will go to college some of us will not. Some of us will drop out, or start a family, some may go into the military and we won't know if you come back. The reality is today is our day and let's live today like it's our only day. Tomorrow has different challenges but today is all ours. Congratulations Class of 2022."

It's over I did I over came my fear I do not have stage fright. I take my seat next to Yairi this time she gave my hand the squeeze.

"You can stop holding your breath now" she giggles.

I didn't even realize I was holding my breath until she said that. We get up and walk the stage Mrs. Adams hands us our diploma's and gives us a hug. When I catch a glimpse of her at the corner of my eye. I turn so quick I almost fell down the stairs of the stage. I looked back in that direction but no one was there. It couldn't have been her, could it? She was dead, wasn't she? A million questions start shooting off in my head and I don't know what to do. Yairi notices and comes to my side her eyes asking the question.

" I will tell you in the car" I tell her not wanting to make a scene. She gives me a thumbs up and we are done. We graduated highest of the class we did it. We did it for you dad I look up into the sky I really hope he is proud of us.

Unknown POV

She saw me for a split second I slipped up and she saw me. I'm going to regret this phone call but I have to let them know.

(Phone call)

Me: Yanin saw me.

Unknown: You aren't supposed to let them see you i***t. You will ruin everything-

Me: I know I know they leave for campus next week I will meet them there.

Unknown: Please don't screw this up.

Me: Hey they don't call me Tornado Flores for nothing.

Unknown: Ugh I can't with you. Keep me informed no more screw ups. That's two sightings in 4 hours.

Me: Copy that.

(call ends)

I hate that I have to wait so long this week can not go by fast enough. I do need to look into Andrew I'm still unsure how he spotted me. Not even Yanin saw me she looked right in my direction. I go back to my hotel and pull out my laptop going into the were database I look for Andrew Nichols. No results on there that's strange. I try every search engine to find in the supernatural community. From fairies to vampires his name still gives no results. I pull up my phone I had snapped a picture once maybe that will work. I still get no results I am wracking my brains here. I finally reach out to William, my head warrior, he was ex-military maybe he has some insight. About 20 minutes pass and William is calling me. That's odd he usually refrains from calling anyone. I answer on the third ring.

"This better be good" I say.

"Did he see you at any time?" worry in his voice.

"Yes for about two seconds outside the auditorium, why?" I asked feeling uneasy.

"Get out of there now, meet the girls on campus next week but I need you to get to the pack house NOW" he yelled the last part making me jump. I grabbed my keys and shoes and ran out of the room good thing I didn't take my luggage down. I jump in my car but it won't start, I try again, nothing. William is still on the phone screaming things at me when I finally get out the words.

"William my car won't start" I say frustrated.

"How far are you from the office?" he sighs.

"It's right in front about 10 feet away." I get out while I'm looking around.

"Stay in the office I'm on my way" was the last thing he said before the call ended.
