Yulia woke with her eyes feeling gritty and her head aching like she had downed a couple of bottles of wine the night before. She knew it was down to dehydration; she had cried until she had no more tears to come last night. Which in itself was a revelation, as she had felt like she may never feel anything acutely enough to cry about it ever again.
Instead, she had been so bitterly disappointed that she had ruined the cataclysmic kiss that she had shared with Lance that the tears had welled and overflowed easily, pouring out all her disappointment and despair that she would never have a normal life or relationship.
