29 The temple was ancient and mysterious. It didn’t have to be located in this spooky corner of the woods to emphasize the point, Lorcan thought. He adjusted his wrist unit, making sure everything was in working order. He had already said goodbye to everyone, his plan being to grab Orla and run at any chance he got. It surprised him that so many people could fit inside the temple courtyard. It wasn’t nearly grand as the Egyptian pyramids or Greek temples, but it was quite formidable with stone walls and lofty ceilings.
