Chapter Four

Jennifer and Danny are in the car across Mercy's house waiting for Jack and Peter to come back at night. After hours of waiting, a car parks in front of Mercy’s house.

“Here we go.” Danny says as they both starts observing the car closely.

After a few minutes, Mercy comes out of the car and starts heading towards her front door. She enters the house and the car leaves. Danny grabs his binoculars and checks out the driver through the binoculars trying to see if it's Jack or Peter but it's not them.

“Is that them?” Jennifer asked as Danny watched the car leave with his binoculars.

“No, that’s not that them.” He answers as he puts down the binoculars “how sure are you that they will come here?”

“I will say 50%.” She said doubtfully

“You got to be kidding me.” Danny says disappointedly “you mean you are not even sure if they will come here or not.”

“No am saying I was told that they come here every night.”

“Well we have been here almost all night, and we have got nothing.”

“I don’t know why they are not showing up, but one thing I know for a fact is that I saw them come out of that house earlier today.” she says as she points at Mercy's house.

“In that case let’s go and have a word with our friend there.” Danny says as he starts getting out of the car “maybe she can tell us something useful unlike you.”

He comes out of the car and Jennifer rolls her eyes and sighs as she follows him behind. They stride over to Mercy’s apartment and as they reach at the front, Danny knocks at the door and wait for a response.

A few moments later, Mercy opens the door and finds Jennifer and Danny standing at her door step which shocks her a bit for she wasn’t expecting them...

“Oh hey! How may I help you?”

“Are you Mercy Phyile?” Jennifer asked

“Yes, and who is ask?” she looks at them as she observes what they are bothe wearing. To her they both don’t appear like cops. Maybe they were detectives she thought to herself, this is how they blend in as they try to catch the culprit.

“We are agents from O.P department” Danny says as he flashes his budge at her.

“Okay, am I in some kind trouble?”

“No you not. We just want to have a word with you if you don’t mind?” Jennifer asked politely.

“Sure thing” she opens the door wide enough for them to enter. Jennifer and Danny walks inside the house passing Mercy who is standing at the door, and she closes the door as she follows them behind.

“What is this about if you don’t mind me asking?” she asked them as they reach in the living-room “please sit” she says as she sit down and they also sit.

“No we don’t mind” Danny replies as he gets his phone; going in his phone’s gallery he chooses a picture showing Jack and Peter’s face, he gives it to Mercy, she gets the phone from Danny’s hand and start checking out the picture.

“We were wondering if you know these two guys.” Danny said as he gave her the picture

“We were told that they were spotted coming out from this house earlier.” Jennifer said to her as she was seeing the picture

“Yes, they are my friends’ brothers who came here like one months ago looking for her. But they didn’t find her so they left today.” Mercy said as she gave the phone back to Danny who turns off and puts it in his pocket.

“Did they happen to tell you were they were going?” Danny asked

“No they didn’t, but I am guessing they went back home or to file a police report.”

“I doubt it.” Danny says with so much certainty in his voice

“Why do you say so?”

“Well this guys are very dangerous and canning, and if want you are saying true then they won’t just go without finding their sister first.” Danny answered

“Wait a minute, what do you by they are dangerous?” she asks as she seems to be a bit confused “And how dangerous are we talking?”

“Very dangerous” Jennifer replies

“That’s why you must be very careful when it comes to them.” Danny added causing Mercy to have a bit of fear by the information.

“But don’t worry we are doing everything in our power to stop them.” Jennifer said trying to calm her down but in return Mercy just nods her head in agreement but it doesn’t seem to calm her down.

“Alright” Danny says as they stand up preparing to go out “that’s all we had ask you.”

“Alright and thanks for the heads up.” Mercy says as she stands up and starts escorting them to the exit door.

“Here is our card” Jennifer says handing her they card as they reached at the door “call us the moment you heat anything from them again”

She gets the card “I will do that, thanks very much.” She said as they went out the door

“You are welcome.” Danny says and they start heading back to the car. Mercy watches them leave for a while and closes the door.

“What do you think, she will call?” Danny asked as they walked to the car.

“I don’t know, but if what she was saying is true, that means they are not here to cause trouble but to look for they sister.”

“Then the question will be who is they sister and where the hell is she?”

“I don’t know, but am sure we are going to find out soon”

They reach where they parked the car and they enter the car and drives off.

Meanwhile as Jennifer and Danny drives off, Mercy stands at the window in her apartment, watching them as they left. As they leave, she gets her phone and calls a strange number. It rings for a while and...

“Hello” Peter picks up.

“Hi, I did as you said.” She told him, has it happens that she was compelled by Peter all this time.

“Great, what did they want?”

“They were looking for you and your brother, I think they want to arrest you.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes, and they also gave me they card to call them once I hear from you again.”

“good job”

“So, you are going to leave me alone now?” she says as she sounded a bit nervous. It seems she knows he is a vampire.

“No,”

“Wait but you said if I do this for you then you will leave me alone?”

“Yes, but I just want you to do for me one more thing.”

“I don’t want to do anything for you anymore”

“But you are the only one who can do what I want Mercy.” Peter said sounding all charming.

“And what might that be?”

“I want you to arrange a meeting for me with the people that came to meet you”

“And then?”

“Nothing that’s so and you are done.” Peter said “do you think you can do that for me?”

“If I do this will you let me go?”

“Why not”

“Okay then I will do it.” She says and then she cuts the call; she puts the phone down and gets the card Jennifer gave her and stares at it.

PETER AND JACK

Peter and Jack are in a hotel room, Jack is seated at a chair a reading a book while Peter stands talking on the phone, he finishes talking on the phone and he turns facing Jack. Jack looks at peter as he sits on the edge the bed and sighs.

“So, what’s the plan?” Jack asked as he puts his book aside on the table right next to him.

“Well, we are going to have a word with some hunters tomorrow.”

“Great and you think they have something to do with the disappearing of Kira?”

“Yes, I do.” Peter replies as he lies back on the bed

“And what if they have nothing to do with her disappearance?”

“Then we still get to kill some hunters and also a city to burn down.” Peter said charmingly as he sat upright and Jack smiles while he grabs his book and starts reading it again and Peter lays his back on the bed.

THE NEXT DAY

Mercy is stands in an abandoned building as she waits for someone to come; she keeps looking left and right for something.

A few minutes later, Jennifer and Danny join her in the same building. They stand right in front of her and...

“Hey you asked us to meet you here?” Jennifer asked

“yes”

“Alright, what did you want to see us for?”

“Am sorry” Mercy said looking a bit nervous.

“What are you sorry for?” Danny asked

“Am not the one who wanted to meet up with you”

“Who wants to meet up with us?”

“It's them” she says as she points behind them, Jennifer and Danny turn around and see Peter and Jack approaching them. Upon seeing them Jennifer and Danny seem to be a bit uneasy.

Peter and Jack reach where Mercy, Jennifer and Danny are standing and they stand right next to Mercy who looks at Peter

“I did what you asked of me now it's your turn.” Mercy tells Peter

“Alright, a deal is a deal you are free to go.” He says this as he looks direct into are eyes and she immediately rushes away.

“It's you” Jennifer said as Mercy leaves the building.

“Hey, aren’t you the guy from the bar. The Madrid fan girl?” Jack said as he looked at Jennifer recognizing who she is.

Peter also looks at her closely “wait a minute she is the one, the one you were talking to.” Peter said as he recognized her as well “so you are a hunter huh, hard luck bro.” he says this as he looks at Jack who don’t seem to care but just stares at Jennifer.

“What do you want?” Danny asked all brutally

“Well we heard that you were looking for us so we wanted to meet you in person without causing you any further trouble.” Peter replied

“Why are you here?” Jennifer asked

“Because our sister has gone missing in this town and we just wanted to know if you hunters have anything to do with that.” Peter said politely

“We know nothing about your sister.” Danny said “but we do know we want you to get out of this city.”

“aaaaa…see that’s going to be a problem.” Peter said “because we are not going to leave this city without our sister.”

“And how do you know that your sister is here?” Jennifer asked

“Because the person who kidnapped her sent us a message saying we should come here in Orial City if we wanted to see our sister again.” Jack Responded

“And that’s why we can’t leave yet.” Peter added

“Well to bad to hear that, but it’s either you leave peacefully or we take you down.” Danny told them

“Oh really the two of you will take us down?” Peter asked “it doesn’t seem like a fair fight to me.”

“Count Again.” Danny said with a smug on his face as the other 8 hunters who were hiding come out with guns pointing at Peter and Jack as they surround them.

“You really didn’t think we will come here, alone did you?” Jennifer said feeling so proud of herself and her partner. They also pull out they weapons and points them at Jack and Peter.

Peter and Jack don’t seem to be shaken by the situation not even the fact that they are outnumbered. They both seem to be calm with no hit of fear in them whatsoever.

“So, what is it going to be?” Danny asked them as he gets ready to shot his gun.

“That’s why I don’t trust hunters” Peter says as he looks at Jack, giving him a head nod and his eyes turn red.

He turns and faces Jennifer and Danny who notice his eyes change color and...

“Get them!” Danny shouts and immediately all the hunters start were about to shooting at Peter and Jack. But Peter moves fast than an eye can blink and grabs every hunter’s gun by throwing them away.

All the hunters remain unarmed together with Danny and Jennifer, and none of them saw him coming as he unarmed them. Peter stands next to Jack as he unarms all the hunters…

“Now let the fun begin.” Peter said with a smile on his face and immediately him and Jack starts attacking or the hunters, as they all try to defend themselves but Jack and Peter are stronger.

In a short period of time all the hunters are killed and put down. But Jennifer and Danny did try to put up a fight.

Danny fought against Peter and Jennifer against Jack. The fight ended with Peter knocking out Danny with super-punch, and Jack holding Jennifer by the neck pushing her against the wall, as he is about to break it…

“W-wait-don’t kill me-I can help-you find your sister” she said as she chocked.

“Jack wait!” Peter said as he approaches them and Jack let’s her go “and how do you suppose you are going to do that?”

“By using the hunters’ system to search for her, it covers the whole city. All I need is her name and I will find her.”

“And how do I know that you are not lying?”

“Well because I want you out of my this City at any cost”

“Alright then, her name is Kira Pain and if you find her you will find us at the Elite hotel room 4.” Peter told her

“Okay I got it” Jennifer says as she starts walking out and they let are go, but as she is leaving Peter holds her wrist causing her to stop...

“And please keep in mind that if you try anything stupid, I will personally kill you and then we will burn this city to the ground.” Peter said to her and he lets go of her wrist and she leaves them and they watch her leave.

“Do you think we can trust her?” Jack asked peter

“She got 24 hours to prove we can trust her, all we bring this city to the ground.” Peter responds as they both start leaving the place as if nothing happened and 9 hunters lying dead on the ground.
