Summer yawned and stretched on her bed. According to her request, Adam had recommended an event planner and they were to meet this morning. She rolled off her bed, staring through her bleary vision as her eyelids drooped over her eyes. The last remnants of sleep began to fade away and she wondered what would happen if she could just sleep away more hours. Her whole life was by routine. Each minute of her day was scheduled to do something. She didn’t have the luxury of time. Twenty-four hours were hardly even enough for her. “Alexa, what is the time?” She spoke to the device on her bedside table. Yes, her life was routine, but she was a human being. Sometimes she just wanted to be lazy and sleep in. So, the night before, she refused to set her morning alarm. “It’s 6:30am, New York time.”
