Summer stared at Adam, willing him to say something. Anything to clear her doubt. She wanted him to pull her in for a kiss and tell her that it was just a misunderstanding. She was only misinterpreting something. He just stood there, frozen to his bones, staring like he'd just witnessed a murder.
"Are you kidding me right now?!" She grabbed the phone and slammed it on the floor, grabbing her hair. "Oh God, not again!"
She was screaming at the top of her voice, pulling at the roots of her hair. She was running mad. Her breath came out in ragged puffs and her mind was in a haze.
"Summer..." He reached out to touch her, concern etched on his features.
"Don't you dare touch me!" She shuffled backwards and pointed her finger into his chest. "Don't even dare or I will kill you."
