Adam led her down the tunnel, his palm at the small of her back. It was normal to him now. Anytime they were to enter a place, he led her through as if reassuring her that she was safe and that he was with her. Truthfully, he wasn’t sure if he was trying to reassure her or himself. As they walked further into the cave, leaving the stairs behind, they came across a large clearing inside the cave. Above them, the rocks gave way to an opening, letting in light from the sun. The tourists all stood to behold the most wonderful part of it all. They were now standing in full glare of the waterfall. Great waves of water rushed down the cliff through the opening of the caves, cascading down rocks in different levels, into the river in front of them.
