Adam had just returned home. His vision was a blur and his forehead pounded painfully. The alcohol had only made him worse. That was odd. When he was confused and uncertain about anything, he sought solace in a pool of booze and in the arms of a random woman. It was temporary, he knew, but it made the confusion fade away, even if it was just for a short period. But today was different. No, different was not the word. It was just… odd.
