"Where have you been?"
The boss's icy voice made the subordinates recoil. Both Will and Mike bowed their heads, not daring to meet those eyes filled with reproach.
They had only stepped out for a smoke for less than ten minutes and didn't expect the boss to be this displeased.
"We went out for a smoke, sir."
"Is that so?"
Pholach asked nonchalantly, but those who had been with him for a long time knew well that the boss just didn't want to address the issue right then. They couldn't escape the penalty for neglecting their duties.
Will's face fell. It was his fault for inviting Mike to step out with him, thinking that since Irin had friends with her, there wouldn't be any problem. Who would have thought the boss would return so quickly?
