I listen to the sound of the waterfall and begin to dream, imagining I'm no longer here at the cave.
Where I want to be is with my own people across the boundary, eating and dancing and laughing within my pack. Catching the wind, shapeshifting and running under the moonlight with my fellow werewolves.
Enough of this slave life.
It is either I emancipate myself or die trying.
Of course, this dream also includes Roane and my fated mate, Vaughn. They'll be coming along with me to my werewolf pack. I might honestly be unknown and irrelevant there, but I'll have the company of them both. We won't be owned by anyone except ourselves.
We will be free.
It's the ultimate dream. So I stand up from the boulder and start pacing around.
