“That only bought us a few seconds,” Tasuki shouted back at Tama. “We need to get to the others.” They entered another alley that would take them straight to the block the haunted house was set up on. Tasuki slid to a stop when he saw the gremlin standing in their way. The bullet hole was visible in its belly and it was panting heavily. “Okay,” Tama whispered. “I’m officially freaked out.” Tasuki took a step back, at a loss about what to do. He’d lost his ear piece somewhere in the alleys and couldn’t call for help. The gremlin was closing in on them, humming that awful tune again. Suddenly something fell on it and the song abruptly stopped. Tasuki and Tama blinked before they laughed in relief. The very garbage can the gremlin had launched just a while ago had finally come back down.
