LILLY’S POV
I couldn’t believe that Amara’s plan had actually worked. Turning my mother into a hybrid like me wasn’t something I ever wanted, but I felt a calmness within me, now that I had her back. She’d promised me that she would make our family whole again, fix the cracks that had formed in our once indestructible foundation. I didn’t know if I could ever forgive my father for what he did to me, or the way he turned my brothers against me; but I couldn’t focus on that for now. I had some explaining to do to Nick, and I was sure he wouldn’t be happy that I disappeared for so long.
