The sunlight shining in my face woke me. I rolled over to check the time and sat up with a start, it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The spot where Jackson had slept was cold but his scent radiated from the sheets. The intoxicating mixture of his scent and mine brought back the memories of him marking me. I got up and made my way to the bathroom, my legs felt a little like jelly and the room spun slightly as I walked. The hot water of the shower stung my skin but helped wash away the blood that was dried on my shoulder, and the groggy feeling that I’d had not two minutes ago.    I turned the water off and grabbed my towel, wrapping it tight around me and tucking it under my arms.
