INTO THE DARKNESS

I awoke in a strange room; it was dark and cold. I sat up quickly, trying to look around. I couldn’t remember anything that happened, just running through the forest with Jackson; enjoying the air blowing through my fur.   There was a slow and steady dripping noise coming from nearby and a creaking of floor boards. I stood from the object I had been laying on, balancing myself. I began reaching around, trying to find a wall or surface to help guide me to a door. I had taken maybe three or four steps before I felt a sharp pull at my left ankle, and a metallic sound.
