A unique way to show love

1219 Words
Silvia sat on the sofa with her legs crossed, waiting for Eva to arrive with a cup of tea that Isaac had prepared. During the wedding preparations, she never met Eva, Ashton who took care of the matter. Silvia had changed her cell phone number too to prevent her father from tracking her down during her five-year run with Morgan. She lost touch with her friends, but it was worth it. 'Momo...' Silvia clenched her fists on her thighs holding back her chest which suddenly ached. 'I'm strong for you. I will avenge you. That's why I won't let other people get in my way, even if it's my old friend.' Silvia regained her focus remembering Morgan's face, "Welcome, Eva." she greeted in a calm tone. Eva didn't change much other than the look in her green irises that used to be soft turned firm, showing confidence—her make-up emphasized that too. Silvia realized that Eva's clothing style had also changed, she remembered that her old friend liked to wear more comfortable and elegant dresses rather than revealing clothes like tank tops and shorts. Now Eva is wearing it all. Eva stopped right in front of her best friend who sitting on the sofa as if everything was fine, "Silvia..." she called emphasizing the name. "Yes?" Silvia responded—leaning back on the sofa relaxed even more. Eva furrowed her brows, her emotions overflowing watching Silvia act so innocent, "Do you know what you did? You forgot what we promised earlier?" sh tried to stay calm because Ashton is here too. "I'm afraid not," Silvia lied smoothly. "care to share?" she challenges Eva out of her comfortable shell, and gets brave. "Don't test me, Silvia!" Eva raised her voice a little. "I know you remember!" "Hm…” Silvia still pretended not to know. Since this is their reunion after five years of not seeing each other, she will give a gift, end Eva's feelings for Ashton, or start their serious relationship? She won't know, she didn't care. "You tell me a lot about Ashton so I don't know which one you mean, my little rabbit." "Little rabbit?" Ashton is much more interested in that than the fact that Silvia and Eva used to talk about him often. "Because she's our little sweetheart, Ashton. Remember?" Silvia says sweetly, "beside her bunny tooth is cute to me." "Ah, I see," Ashton understood now. He must admit he agrees with Silvia, Eva has a cute face and her bunny tooth make her look cute too. "I do like that about her too." "Ashton..." Eva lost her focus for a moment here to get compliments from the man she had loved so much. Silvia's small laugh brought her back to her senses. "Don't laugh!" "Then what should I do, little rabbit?" Silvia asked back. "Should I reveal your little secret~?" Eva gasped. Not her secret! She pointed at Silvia angrily, "Oh hell no!" "You're confusing me here." Silvia felt pity and sympathy for how stubbornly Eva refused to tell the truth about her love for Ashton. "What's your purpose here? You know I have important work, you too. Stop wasting my time." That's enough playing around, basically that's what it means. Silvia gave Eva a meaningful look: if you keep denying it, I'll be the one doing what they had to do earlier. Eva recognized that one looks very well, and for some reason, it frightened her so much that it made the hairs on the back of her neck shudder, "This isn't fair!" Silvia only showed a tiny smile. Finally their conversation got to the point as well. 'Thanks to me as always doing the Lord's work.' Silvia rolled her eyes, then came back as usual, "You want to speak fairly here? To me?" she couldn't believe this. "I know Ashton first! We're starting to make progress!" Eva lost control and raged pointing at Silvia who had snatched her desire. "and you came to take everything! Ashton from me!" she ended it by crying her heart out. "You have five years to express how you feel, instead you choose to be his f*ckbuddies. Who's at fault here?" Even if for example Ashton and Eva were in a relationship, Silvia would still destroy it because she wouldn't let Ashton Spencer be happy. Ashton had to feel what she felt when she lost Morgan. Destroying Ashton and Eva's relationship is much more fun than being Ashton's wife as she is now, she doesn't need to be touched by his hands who are covered in Morgan's blood. "You don't understand! I'm trying here!" Eva gives another attack. "You are my best friend! You know how long it took me to get Ashton's attention!" Silvia yawned widely listening to Eva's rant which was like a crumpled cassette to her except this time her ears almost bleed from the loud voice of her old friend, "What do you want me to do? Cry for your failure?" "Silvia De Young." Eva's anger was almost at its maximum not being taken seriously by her best friend. "I warn you one more time. If you keep going, I swear I won't hesitate anymore." Silvia chuckled, then gave a sarcastic comment, "Should I kiss your feet after receiving that blessing?" she asked pretending to be scared, then laughed again. "Aahhh!" Eva screamed out of frustration. Silvia sighed, she slowly got up from her seat to approach Ashton who had been silent for a long time not commenting on Eva's feelings. She didn't really want this, but she had to end this boring war. Silvia wrapped her arms around Ashton's neck, her lips smiling sweetly as his black irises focused on her with a questioning look, "The fact Ashton prefers to marry me is obvious, isn't it?" She gave her husband a quick peck on the lips. "he's mine." she continued, then gave an aggressive kiss. Ashton was surprised but returned it to give salt to the fresh wound in Eva's heart who was shocked to see it directly. "Ahhhh!!!" Silvia smiled in between kisses hearing Eva's screams before footsteps were heard followed by the sound of the door closing loudly. 'She's gone.' Silvia wanted to end their kiss, but Ashton deepened it and even hugged her tightly so as not to stop. This again. Silvia bit his tongue which was inside her mouth as a form of irritation, her attempt was successful, Ashton ended the kiss as well, and he stepped back while groaning in pain. 'My chance is now.' Silvia hurriedly went to the kitchen, washing her mouth in the sink water stream. 'How many times do I have to do this...?' Silvia patted the sink in despair. She knew that Eva wouldn't just give up. "You have a unique way of showing your love, Silvia." Silvia rolled her eyes, "I just don't like drama." Ashton couldn't believe it. For him it only made things worse between her and Eva. He himself was surprised to know that Eva had such deep feelings for him, but he didn't care, he cared more about the woman in front of him, who had just confessed her feelings for him. He clasped her hands carefully, then whispered in her ear, "We have the same feelings. You don't have to be shy anymore, Silvia..."
