It feels different tonight. There are more bikers here than usual, most of them unfamiliar, their cuts marked with the names of clubs I don’t recognize. Knox explained earlier that they’re visiting from out of town. Apparently, the business the club has invested in is expanding into new territory, and the guys have come to meet some of the regulars here before that launch moves forward.
If I’m honest, it seems like a strange way to do things. Wouldn’t it make more sense to host that kind of introduction at the business itself? But when I asked, Theo just laughed and said most of them won’t be using the business at all. According to him, it’s more about drinking than anything. Knox had laughed at that too, saying it was nothing but an excuse for a wild party. I believe him.
