Knox POV She’s on the floor, curled against the tub, pale as death, arms wrapped tight around herself. Her whole body’s shaking like she’s freezing, but I know it’s not cold that’s doing this to her. Her eyes are wide, wild, like she’s not even here anymore. “s**t,” I whisper, moving fast. “Red,” I say again, softer this time as I lower myself to the floor in front of her. She doesn’t respond. Her arms are wrapped tight around her middle, her body rocking like she’s trying to vanish into the floor. Her breathing is all wrong, fast and sharp and ragged like she’s choking on nothing. The sobs coming from her chest are raw, broken, the kind that tear straight through you just hearing them. “Hey, baby,” I murmur, reaching out with slow hands. “I’m here. You’re safe.
