Something is broken inside me. Something I can’t name. But I’m starting to feel it. The world is still dark, still heavy, but it’s changing. There are hands on mine. A presence beside me. And for the first time since falling into this place, I start to climb toward the surface. Slowly, painfully, and desperately. And somewhere in all of it, I know, I’m not alone. Even if I don’t remember who I am, someone does. Someone is waiting, and I have to find my way back. The longer that passes the more the sounds become less muffled, the more I feel, and sense things.
