EDEN His arms wrap around me from behind. He pulls me back against his chest, one hand splaying low across my stomach, holding me tight. I freeze. He buries his face into the side of my neck, pressing soft kisses along the curve of my throat. My eyes slam shut. Angry tears burn behind my lids. It's appalling how my body wants to melt into him. "Eden," he murmurs against my pulse. "Please. Just... give me time." His voice cracks on the last word. Nothing like the smug, possessive growl from the elevator. I swallow hard. "Time for what?" "To show you I'm different now." He presses another kiss to my skin. “To prove I'm not the same i***t who hurt you." A bitter laugh rips out of me before I can stop it. I twist in his hold and shove him back hard enough that he stumbles a little. H
