# THE FACELESS SOUL
## Book 2 - Chapter 3
## Chapter 14: 100 Copies
**Geneva. 4:17 AM.**
Amina stared at the email.
*Subject: We’re not done.*
*Body: The USB was fake. But we made 100 copies. - S*
Attachment: 10 files. Names. Dates. Bank accounts.
Real files.
Her hands went numb.
She called Lahore. Once. Twice.
Ayaan picked up on the third ring. Voice rough with sleep. "Beta?"
"Baba," Amina said. "They have copies. 100 of them."
Silence.
Then: "I’ll be on the next flight."
"No." Amina stood up. "Stay with Noor. Stay with Mama. I’ll handle this."
"Amina—"
"I’m the Counselor now, Baba." Her voice was steel. "Let me do my job."
She hung up before he could argue.
---
**6 AM. UN Crisis Room.**
Amina walked in. No sleep. Suit wrinkled. Eyes red.
"I need 3 things," she said to the 20 people in the room. "Now."
The US delegate sighed. "Ms. Malik, it’s 6 AM—"
"12 girls are being auctioned tonight on the dark web. Using data from those files." Amina slammed the printouts on the table. "So you can have coffee later."
Silence.
"First: Freeze every bank account in this list. All 100.
Second: Interpol red notice for 'S'. We think it’s Samir. Danish’s son.
Third: I need a team. Legal, cyber, and tactical. Under me."
The Secretary General nodded. "You have it."
---
**48 Hours. No Sleep.**
Amina didn’t eat. Didn’t shower.
She worked.
With cyber teams in 6 countries, they traced 43 of the 100 copies.
Deleted. Burned. Seized.
But 57 were still out there.
And the auction was in 6 hours.
Amina was on a call with the FBI director. "We need to raid all 12 locations. Simultaneously."
"That’s impossible—"
"Then make it possible." Amina’s voice cracked. "There’s a 9 year old girl on that list. Her name is Sara. She draws unicorns."
The director was quiet. "We’ll do it."
---
**Midnight. 12 Raids. 12 Countries.**
Amina watched from Geneva. 12 screens.
Berlin: 2 girls rescued.
Dubai: 3 girls.
Mexico City: 1 girl.
Istanbul: 4 girls.
Screen 7: Static.
Amina’s heart stopped. "What’s happening in Jakarta?"
No answer.
Then: "Team down. 2 officers shot. Girls moved."
Amina threw her headset. "NO!"
Her phone rang. Unknown.
She answered. "Who is this?"
"Hello, Counselor Malik." Young voice. Smiling. "Miss me?"
"Samir."
"Very good. And yes, I have Sara. She’s very cute. Likes unicorns."
Amina gripped the desk. "What do you want?"
"The same thing my father wanted. For you to stop." Samir laughed. "But you won’t. So here’s the deal. Come to Jakarta. Alone. Or Sara dies in 1 hour."
Click.
---
**Jakarta. 11 PM.**
Amina lied to everyone.
Said she was going to "coordinate."
Went alone.
Warehouse. Port. Same as Berlin.
Samir was waiting. 26. Danish’s eyes. No mask.
"You came," he said. "I’m impressed."
"Where is she?" Amina asked.
Samir gestured. In the corner: Sara. Tied. Gagged. Eyes wide.
Amina’s chest hurt. "Let her go."
"After you sign this." Samir held up a paper. "Confession. That the Alina Foundation funds trafficking. That you lied to the UN."
Amina laughed. "You think anyone will believe that?"
"I think 100 copies of your father’s files will make them believe anything." Samir stepped closer. "Sign. Or the girl."
Amina looked at Sara. Then at Samir.
She reached for the pen.
And moved.
Taser. From her sleeve.
Samir went down, screaming.
Amina ran to Sara. Cut the ropes. "Jaan, it’s okay. I’m Amina. I’m here."
Sara cried and hugged her. "I thought you were Faceless."
Amina smiled, tears falling. "No. I’m better. I’m Amina."
Police burst in 20 seconds later.
---
**24 Hours Later. Lahore.**
Amina was home.
Sleeping for 18 hours straight.
She woke up to Noor sitting on her bed.
Drawing. Unicorns.
"Khala," Noor said. "Is Sara okay?"
Amina pulled her into a hug. "She’s safe. She’s home now."
Noor nodded. "Good. Because I prayed for her."
Amina cried. "You’re so brave."
"I learned from you."
---
**1 Week Later. The Hague.**
Trial. Samir.
Amina was prosecutor again.
She played the video of the rescue.
She played Sara’s testimony.
Samir got life. No parole.
After, a reporter asked: "Ms. Malik, aren’t you tired?"
Amina looked at the camera. "Yes. But tired people still have to work."
---
**3 Months Later. Alina Foundation.**
Amina started a new program: "Sara’s Unicorns"
For child survivors. Art therapy. Legal aid. Everything.
Ayaan came to the opening.
Cut the ribbon with Noor.
A reporter asked Ayaan: "Mr. Malik, how does it feel to see your daughter do this?"
Ayaan looked at Amina. "Like I finally did something right."
---
**Epilogue: 1 Year Later.**
57 copies. All found. All destroyed.
Specter: Dismantled.
Amina: Nominated for Nobel. Again.
One night, Amina was on the roof with Ayaan.
"Baba, do you think it’s over?" she asked.
Ayaan was quiet. "No. Evil doesn’t die. But neither does good."
Amina leaned on him. "Then we keep fighting."
"Yes." Ayaan smiled. "Together."
From inside, Noor yelled: "Khala! Baba! Cake!"
They laughed and went inside.
---
**Final Scene. Geneva. 5 Years Later.**
Amina, 33.
Secretary General of the UN.
Her first speech:
"I was a victim. I was a lawyer. I was a daughter.
Today I am your servant.
And I promise you this: No child will be forgotten. Not on my watch."
Standing ovation.
In the audience: Ayaan, 69. Aayat. Noor, 17.
After, Noor hugged her. "Khala, you did it."
Amina smiled. "We did it."
