CHAPTER FOURTEEN: TEMPTATION BEGINS
ETHAN POV
Rose vowed to kick me in the balls, so I fully expected that. I'm ready to grab her knee already. Drunk Rose looks at me with sadness in her eyes and points with a sharp edge at my chest.
I'm not sure why I let her get intoxicated in the first place, given that I knew she would become even more erratic and liberated after consuming alcohol. On the way here, I catch a glimpse of the carefree young woman she was when her mother was a girl who didn't give a damn about social conventions or what people thought of her.
She asks, not attempting to get her wrists out from under my hold, "Why do you know I like black?"
