Long Time Coming

The Big Question

The plan is made. Everything is set. All he needed was for him and his love to show up. 

"So what plan did you make for us this weekend?" she asked as he drove them to some unknown place to her, right now she wanted to know where they were going. 

"The plan is to have fun with the love of my life, for four days and three nights, uninterrupted with our daily lives. Maybe we can talk about our future. It's been a while since we discussed it. I want to set somethings in stone and see what you want exactly as you haven't been so forthcoming about what you really want for us." He said

"What are we doing at the airport?" She asked shocked. They normally drove wherever they went.

"We are getting on a flight of course." He parked and they went inside. 

She just blindly followed him and he checked in their bags and made their way to the gate. 

"So you going to tell me where we are going?" she asked sweetly cuddling up to him.

"No ma'am i'm not. This whole weekend is a surprise you will get no peeps out of me. It's all for us.Just us." He leans over and kiss her just when the flight destination is announced. He gets up and grabs both carry-ons and take her hand and guide her to the plane.

They board and get seated. He lets her go through the safety instructions but started talking when the captain starting speaking so she was distracted by the destination.  So caught up in conversation about everything and nothing, they talked right through the landing message.

"I can't believe I let you distract me so that I don't know where I am." She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "I'm going to let this slide of not knowing since we are here. You better make this good for me or I'm going to be mad at the end of the weekend." she grinned at him.

"Uhh, I forgot to tell you, that we're not leaving until Tuesday." He smiled a crooked smile at her.

"I'm not sure Jessica, Melanie and Keesha has the time to run the store."

"You're so cute. Of course I had that covered. My mom is going to run the shop and Jessica and Melanie will stay on their shifts. How does that sound?" He said.

"Why did you do that? Your mom is retired, she shouldn't be saddled to a store." Sharon said

"Well, I need to talk to you about something that I noticed about my mom. How about letting my mom work at the store for you. She really wants to do something with plants and people. I asked her about asking you if she could volunteer in the shop but she didn't think you would let her so she haven't broached the subject to you. Will you let her volunteer or do you need to take her as a part time worker? If you prefer to take her as a part time, then I will give you some money to help with her salary if it's needed. Will you just think about it? You don't have to answer right now." He said hugging her to him.

"Whoa this is nice." Sharon said looking out of the window at the city

They stopped in front of the Gaylord Hotel. She left a little different but she wasn't sure why. The moment he caught her hand she relaxed. She looked all around just very unfamiliar with where she was but not worried or stressed because she was with the man of her dreams. She looked at him standing beside her and smiled at him as he smiled at her and he pulled her with him. She looked at the opulent hotel as they approached check in. 

"Good evening Mr. Gideon, how was you and your wife flight in? Justin asked 

"It was good. Thanks for asking. Do you mind if my  wife roam around while we get checked in?"

"She absolutely can" Justin said

"Baby would you like to go check out the view of the mountains while I get us checked in?" He asked her.

"Sure, can't wait." she took off.

"Ok so is everything set?" Markus asked

"We have your balcony dinner ready for tonight and the midnight helicopter ride over the mountains. The trip to the Colorado Ski and Golf  with tour of the slopes and one round of golf. You will pick up the rental keys from here after 8 am and the museum the city. The spa have you booked for 10 am on Monday until 3 of services. Tuesday you will check out at 1 pm. Did we miss anything or did you want to add anything." Justin asked.

"Here are your keys, the wifi login and password is here on your key case. There is a binder that has all of our amenities and how to get them and local places, that is on the desk in your room. Please enjoy your stay and best of luck with the proposal." Justin said

"That sounds like everything. Thank you all so much for helping me out with this. She will be my wife after this trip. Let me go find my roaming woman." Markus said as he took the keys to room 850.

Markus went to the picture window to find Sharon but she wasn't there.He admired the view of the mountains from the lobby, wondering if their room had a view of the mountains. Why wonder when he can know the answer by finding his other half and going to the room. He looked down to see her ogling the pool and hot tub. He took a quick picture of her with the mountains as her back drop and headed down to get her so they could go to their room and she can unpack whatever she needed to. 

"Are you ready to go to the room?" He asked

"Yes, I can't wait to see if the rooms are as opulent as this. Why didn't you have me pack a bathing suit so I can go swimming? I have to go swimming, are you going to swim with me?" Sharon asked

"Of course baby. you think i'm going to let you go free in a bathing suit. Do you want to go get bathing suits tonight or can we wait until tomorrow and pick some out while we are out? He asked kissing her neck as he try to guide her to the elevator and cut off her exploring the hotel.
