Chu Lian was woken up when he felt his feet kicked like the feeling when he tripped in his sleep. Noticing the weird place upon opening his eyes but what was more important was he needed to find a place to throw up. Something was about to burst out from his mouth! "Arrgh!" He heaved as he immediately stood up and pushed the door, destroying it since it was supposed to be a sliding door and a wooden. It was so light like paper and could easily be destroyed. Chu Lian ran to an unfamiliar balcony and threw up to a row of flowers that were planted alongside the balcony that extends until the end of the old building. He felt relieved after throwing those blood outside his system and could taste the disgusting aftertaste of rusty iron on his tongue as he wiped the sides of his lips with the sleeve but before he could worry about that aftertaste, he turned around and then froze. Chu Lian looked down seeing himself wearing a plain white gown that extends down his feet. He could see a long hair streaming down when he bowed his head. It was as black as the night sky during a new moon. He chuckled lowly realizing that he was in a historical era where people still used to dress flamboyantly in fine robes and gowns like those historical movies and series he'd seen. "Must be a dream." Chu Lian mumbled. "Third brother is finally awake!" Chu Lian jumped and saw someone walking in a fast manner towards him and stopped a meters away then she folded her hands and bowed. Chu Lian only sees this type of bow in historical movies dated once upon a time era. "Sect leader Qiang is asking for Third brother's humble presence this sì hour (9 am ~ 11 am)." She announced then raised her head and pulled her arms back on her sides. Chu Lian was dumbfounded. "Third brother?" He mumbled then turned to look at his sides if someone else were there aside him. It was only him. This is a mistake! This is just a dream. Chu Lian pinched his cheek so hard to wake him up but he didn't expect it to hurt like it was real making him cry. "Wu, wu!" He rubbed his stinging cheek. The woman in her late twenties looked at him worriedly. "Third brother, are you okay? Should Daiyu tell Sect leader Qiang that Third brother Jie aren't feeling well?" She said. Who the hell is Sect leader Qiang and Third brother Jie!? "Please tell Sect leader Qiang that I am sick and I will meet him later." Chu Lian said. It would be the safest answer. "Yes, Third brother Jie. Rest well." She said as she bowed again and turned around. Chu Lian watched her walked away then he also saw her glanced back at him with a worried look. When she disappeared, Chu Lian cried as he stooped down on the floor. "This is a dream. This is a dream." He muttered as he stood up again and paced back and forth, biting his nails like a lunatic. He tried to slap his face only to get hurt again when an idea popped inside his head like a bulb being lit up. "Ahh! I should sleep again." He exclaimed and excitedly went back to the room he came from, fixing the broken door not caring if he fixed it properly. He hastily laid down on the bed. Chu Lian closed his eyes and tried to go back to sleep but his mind was in chaos. He couldn't concentrate but he tried to focus his mind until he fell asleep. ××× Chu Lian woke up, feeling uncomfortable. He felt so hot and he wanted to cry when he saw an unfamiliar but familiar the room. He got stuck in his dream! He kicked the quilt and sat up, messing his long hair that used to be short. Chu Lian tried to recall what happened that caused him to get stuck in that dream. He remembered getting hit by a truck. That fucker! "Did I die?" He asked himself and looked at the hands of a stranger. Chu Lian patted that stranger's body, checking for injuries but, of course, there was none. Does that mean he died in his world and his soul, instead of going to heaven, it got sidetracked and got thrown into a parallel world? Did the original owner of that body die also? To be able to slip into another body, the owner must already be dead, right? "Impossible! Impossible!" He cried. To be able to be reborn in that age! He has zero knowledge about ancient history. After all, history was his most hated subject that he only passed it with the help of his classmates. Chu Lian stood up and paced in the room. He was only asleep for a half hour and it turned out that he wasn't in a dream but he was living a life of a dead person. "Did this third brother Jie got murdered? Assassinated?" He muttered and checked his body again for injuries. Chu Lian untied the sash that holds the robe and he was amazed how well built his body was. Though it wasn't as muscular as the other men in the time he originally came from but it was still impressive. This man really trained hard. There was no evidence of how that third brother died. So it was either, he died because of a nightmare or someone poisoned him since poison was an effective way to kill someone in this era, Chu Lian thought. Poor man. He must have died in his sleep. Who would kill him? Was someone after him? Does that mean if that someone who wanted to kill the third brother, if he knew that he was still alive, wouldn't he find another method to kill him again? That time, Chu Lian would be like a lump of double dead meat. He was run over a truck in his past life and now, he got reincarnated in a dead man's body yet someone was after his life. How tough life can be! "Can't they just leave my life be?" He grunted and glanced at the mirror in front of him reflecting a handsome gentleman in a disheveled white sleeping robe. If that looks would be found in Chu Lian's time, then girls would go crazy at him but it was just wishful thinking making him sigh heavily. If he could just be that handsome in his past life but guess it would be a waste since he would still get run over by a truck anyway. He sighed again Too hateful! ××××××××××
