2. Mother

Kilian POV: We had to drive to Columbia for 10 hours, we left the same day we found the man in the gardens. I ordered all my men to watch over him and not let him out of their sight. I didn’t feel comfortable with my son being in the same house as his grandfather, but I didn’t have any right to kill him as at the end of the day he was a Royal.   We approached the gates of the Daughters’ clan and a guard stopped us. “Do you have an appointment with the Mother?” a woman with runes on her arms approached us. “This is a life and death situation woman. We don’t need to have an appointment. This is about Sarah’s lineage survival” Seth huffed from the driver’s seat. “Mother, there are men at the gates”. “Turn them away” a voice spoke on the radio. “They are saying Sarah’s lineage is at risk”.   There was silence on the radio followed by the gates opening. I never expected Poppy to let us in. I knew she cared about Felicity, but the last time I was her was at the hospital when Cassius was born.   As we drove to the grand Palace, I remembered the last time I was here. My mate was pregnant and she gave birth to my son, our son, she told me she loved me and would go back to Marble with me, all lies.   I could see the impressed look on Seth face as the grand doors to the Great Hall opened for us and closed behind us as we walked in. “What is this place?” he whispered as we walked up towards the figure who stood at the other end of the hall. Bane was stirring in my head, he didn’t feel comfortable and wanted to be near his pup.   Stop stirring! Can’t you feel it? He asked. No I can feel you annoying me!   The figure turned around and I noticed it was Poppy. Her arms were covered in runes and she had two swords on either side of her body. There was no smile on her face, I knew she wasn’t expecting me but if looks could kill we would be dead. Maybe this was what Bane was talking about.   “Alpha Castor, what are you doing here?” she asked, her tone of voice was filled with disgust. “We need your help” I said, which was met with Poppy’s laugh. “You need our help? You know the price, $10,000 for training. You could have called you didn’t need to be here so I ask you again why are you here?” she approached us and now was standing at an arms reach. “We don’t need training” Seth responded. “We need to find Felicity”. “Why?” she asked. “A man entered Marble’s territory demanding her. We believe it is her Father. Cassius and Felicity are in danger, please she deserves to know” he continued. I couldn’t bring myself to say her name, I was glad he was here. “How sure are you?” Poppy moved back, finally showing some emotion, fear. “He has piercing blue eyes, black hair and other wolves were scared to approach him. His whole aura was screaming of Old Power” I finally spoke out. “Please Mother tell us where she is” Seth said. “Mother?” Poppy started laughing, creasing over in front of us. “Ohh Seth how I missed your stupidity, I’m not the Mother…. I’m the First Daughter” she rubbed a tear off her cheek from laughing. “Then who is?” I asked.   Suddenly our attention to diverted to the Great Hall’s doors opening again, a figure walked in front of us and Bane started howling at the top of his lungs. I couldn’t make out who it was at the sun was beaming behind her, hiding her face.   “She is” Poppy said proudly to the figure approaching us.   My breathing got rapid and my heart compressed inside, I felt the mate bond strengthening. Immediately, my defensive walls collapsed as I saw her beautiful face and those piercing blue eyes. It was her. It was Felicity. The Mother of the Daughters.
