20. She's mine

Kilian POV

How could she say that I knew that the little girl I was holding was my blood and bone. I didn’t want to let her go I pulled her into another hug and picked her up, turning to face Felicity who was limping into the room. I put my hand on Cassidy’s head and diverted her eyes away from her mother, she shouldn’t see the state Felicity was in.

“Give her to me Kilian” she came up close, I could feel the Royal power radiating from her, but Bane wouldn’t stand down and neither would I, I needed to protect my daughter. I needed her in my life.

“You lied, all those years you lied” I spat out.

“Give her to me!” she shouted, I could feel my grip tighten around Cassidy and my shift getting wet around my shoulder I realised that she was starting to cry. She was my little girl and her tears were breaking my heart. “Kilian this is her home, you can’t just take her”.

Poppy came up from behind me and started talking to Cassidy for me. I knew she was calming down as the sense of her mother was calming her inner wolf. Her soft fingers let go of my neck and she lifted her head up to listen to Poppy.

“Cassidy lets go, your mother is here and safe. She is proud of how brave you were, why don’t we get some vanilla ice crème?” Poppy asked and immediately Cassidy wanted to be let go. She walked over to Poppy who grabbed her hand and walked to Felicity.

Seeing her next to Felicity warmed my heart as well as broke it, she was her mirror image and she didn’t even know who I was.

“I’m not angry with you baby, I love you but please go with Poppy I will be there in a minute” Felicity stood up and nudged her to follow Poppy out of the room. Unexpectedly, she started walking towards me, but I wasn’t going to move, my anger exceed hers. She was the one who hid my child’s existence from me.

“You need to leave now!” she said slowly.

“No” I wasn’t going to leave my daughter here; they have just been attacked and it wasn’t safe. It was clear that they were the main target.

“You come onto my land and the next thing I know; we are being attacked. You led them here, you are the reason why some of my  Daughters are dead. Go home and take the curse with you” she turned back and was ready to leave the room.

“I’m not leaving my daughter here” I confessed.

“SHE IS NOT YOUR DAUGHTER. YOU DIDN’T EVEN KNOW SHE EXISTED”

“’YOU NEVER TOLD ME”

“BECAUSE YOU LEFT ME!”

“Felicity I NEVER left you!. I told you, you are still my mate”. I walked up to her and grabbed her by the shouldering pulling her in. The mate pull was getting too powerful and was ready to explode. Four years of built up emotions and attraction. Electricity shook my body as I touched her, it was like I was touching her for the first time again. I knew she was feeling it as well, the smell of her arousal was getting stronger.

Our foreheads were touching and her breathing was pitched, she knew I was telling the truth, she could feel  the mate bond.

“I knew I wasn’t perfect but I tried to be perfect for you. I wanted nothing more but to be yours. I gave up everything for you and you still took away what little I had left . I admit I didn’t want to fall in love with you but I did. I valued who we were, the man that I fell in love with. You made me feel whole, my whole life was training and killing, but it changed because of you . You did not see me, you didn’t notice me . You were too obsessed with trying to prove that I cheated on you. You didn’t notice how patient I was , how much I cared for Marble and for you. I gave birth and you took away that only pure thing that was left in my life and I will never forgive you for that. I despised you.”  She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I knew I f****d up in the past but I needed her to know it was all a curse and my feelings for her were pure. “But what I hate more is the fact that I will always love you, unconditioanlly”. I took a step towards her but she put her hand up to stop me. “Go back to your fiancé” she added.

My heart was shattered, utterly and unspeakably shattered. She still loved me but above all she would never forgive me, I didn’t fight for her, I just gave up. I pushed her hand aside and crashed my lips against hers. I craved her touch her taste and the smell of cherries. She had to know how much she meant to me. I moved my face to the side and she let my tongue in. I could feel her body relaxing under my touch, she was no longer stressed, she wanted this as much as me.

I moved my hand into her hair and the other one grabbed her neck, as I moved my  lips away to catch a breath I saw that her eyes were still closed.

“I cannot eat, I cannot sleep and I cannot think of anything else besides from you. You are the most stubborn and annoying person in the world. I get goosebumps every time I see you and it’s not because of the mate bond, it’s because I love you, I have never stopped loving you. Stop fighting this, I know you can feel the mate bond, we never rejected ourselves you are still mine” I pulled her hips closer and she released a slow moan.

“I can’t be I belong to the Daughters” she stated, stepping away.

“You said that once before yet we ended up with two children and you being the Luna” I smirked as I said it. “Why didn’t you tell me? And the name Cassidy?” I asked softly as opposed to shouting before.

Felicity started to make her way to the window and looked out of it, I could tell she was re-living that night. The night where I lost everything.

“When you left I couldn’t wait to pack up and leave. I promised to be with you, to be with our child. I lay there for an hour and then…” she stopped talking and I could tell she was on the verge of crying. “Then I heard those words, your words. The pain was too much and I started screaming again. The emotions brought about the second birth, I was pushing without realising. I was pregnant with twins, the tradition continued, Royal twins. I knew you would name him Cassius just to spite me, so Cassidy was my own little reminder of him”  she said turning around to face me again.

“That is how you became the Mother, you gave birth to a girl and you became a Daughter again. You dedicated her to Sarah” she only nodded.

“I didn’t have to fight anyone, they chose me as their next Mother. They wanted me, they wanted Fury. I served Sarah by providing a male and a female descendant. So, you see Kilian I can’t just leave no matter what happened between us. I made vows”.

The tension passed through me, I got flashbacks of every time we fought, every time she laughed, hugged me, kissed me, every time she told me she loved me. My life wasn’t complete without her, now that I had a daughter I couldn’t just get up and leave I had to fight for them.

“What about the vows you made to me? To Marble?” I knew I was being spiteful but she had to know that I was not going to give up so easily.

She walked past me and refused to answer, I never expected this conversation. I came here to win her back to bring her back to Marble instead I found a daughter and a mate that still loved me. I followed her behind and grabbed her wrist making her twirl around, right into my arms.

My lips traced her mark, my mark, the one I made all those years ago. My hands made their way to her thighs gripping them harshly. I knew how to arouse her and after everything that happened tonight she needed a release. I could see her thinking about the situation and I knew what she thought of me.

“How can she mind link already?”, I was concerned, she was only four and Cassius never showed his wolf.

“I don’t know, I guess the Royal blood that was mixed with your Alpha blood superseded her wolf. She’s so fast and so dedicated. I’m worried she’s going to shift any day and she wont know what is happening. She can’t hear her wolf yet but she can mind link her family” she stated. Then it hit me Cassius had an imaginary friend.

“Boston” I said quietly.

“What?”

“Cassius always talks about his imaginary friend Boston. I just thought it’s what four-year old’s do, but he actually listens to him. When Francis first came to Marble he came down because ‘Boston told him to’. Felicity they are stronger than you” I stated.

She didn’t move as I still held her in my arms tightly, I needed her now!

I wasn’t a cheater; I didn’t love Violet she was only a contract marriage. My Pack needed a Luna and my son needed a mother. Felicity was the one I always loved.
