BLISSFUL MARRIAGE

Chapter 3 "Marriage Preparation"

Rose really didn't know why her parents asked her to return to the country at first,

she was living her youth well in Canada without a care in the world.

Until one morning, her mum called her to come back to the country that her father is in a critical condition, she didn't bother to know the details and immediately booked a flight back home only to find out that it was a set up, these two old people had played her into coming back to get married. 

She was so angry she nearly exploded in fury, 'how can these two people be so cunning, they didn't even mind cursing at their health'...she had thought to herself in disbelief. 

She tried escaping countless times but to no avail, her Dad had to cut off her credit cards and freeze her accounts, she couldn't even leave the country.

She really couldn't believe her parents could do this to her, just to get her to marry some rich heir. She just couldn't believe it and kept throwing a tantrum in the house to get her parents to softened their heart. But the shocking truth was that, they suddenly became deaf to her tantrums. 

She kept making a fuse and finally gave up when she realized that her father who claimed to love her so much and always gave in to her tantrums wasn't buying it this time ,even her mother kept convincing her to marry the Adams guy or whatsoever. 

She finally gave in, and today she was going to marry a man she doesn't know or love, how pathetic. 

Though her parents told her she had met him when she 6years old. Well she doesn't like that person she met then, he was such a cold person, she just doesn't like him!.

While still feeling nervous, she stared at herself in the mirror as all the artist were doing their best to make her look stunning. 

Her best friend, Helen was sitting beside her as she look through her phone on news about Adams, she kept exclaiming in delight at the ground breaking discovery about Adams achievements. 

Because Adams didn't like to be in the public's eye, only a hand full of people have seen how he really looked liked, people said he was so heaven defying with his looks and he was someone who ruled with an iron fist. 

Because Helen was famous online she quickly got hold of Adams picture, she immediately screamed out and jotted Rose who was lost in her thought back to reality. 

Rose looked at her best friend weirdly and couldn't help but ask... 

"hey... What exactly is wrong with you?  Why are you screaming like a crazy fan who saw her Idol?"

Helen turned to face Rose, her face filled with adoration... 

She said excitedly.. 

"oh my God...Rose... Oh my God, you are marrying a handsome God. I'm so envious of you."

Rose couldn't help but look at her friend like she was an i***t. 

" what exactly do you mean?, get straight to the point" she snapped at her friend, 'she was already so nervous and this silly girl isn't helping at all'. She thought helplessly. 

Helen rolled her eyes at Rose... 

" hey... Why are you getting mad at me?...i couldn't help it, your husband is so handsome... Oh my God!! " she continued exclaiming as she passed her phone to Rose.

Rose took the phone from her while thinking, 'I have seen a lot of handsome guys,  how handsome could this...' she stopped abruptly when she saw the guy on the screen, her eyes grew wide in astonishment. 

She couldn't help but marvel at the outstanding man she was staring at, he was so handsome and charming, he certainly made people feel safe and wary at the same time. 

She suddenly cursed loudly "...fuck did this guy come out of a painting or what?, how is he so handsome?,  this guy is definitely every girl's dream guy"

Helen said immediately "exactly, you see what I'm saying ,your husband to be is definitely a national husband".

" let me be honest with you Rose, you are definitely in for a competition on this one,  trust me girls won't even mind being his mistress not to talk of 5th wife. Girl you better be prepared for a battle".

Rose exclaimed exasperatedly "yah!!!... Are you sure you are my friend?  How can you be cursing at my marriage like that?, what do you mean by I'm in for a battle? ".

Helen hurriedly calmed her friend down " hey, don't be angry...don't be angry...I was joking.. Yes.. Yes.. It was only a joke. Hahaha... Don't be angry, you will ruin your make-up"

"you are looking so pretty, oh my God... You and Adams are definitely a match made in heaven... Wow you are so so pretty"

Rose stared at her friend's exaggerated expression and  snorted

"Hhmmph!!...you can stop ...you can stop"

She looked at the picture in her hands again and looked at Helen as she asked unconfidently " well... Do you really think we are a match made in heaven? "

Her voice was very low it could barely pass as a whisper, but Helen heard her clearly. 

"you guys are definitely a match made in heaven, see you are so beautiful and he is so handsome, what other combination could have been better?"

"Really? You aren't bluffing right?" Rose asked a little doubtful. 

"No way, you guys are really really cute together, I'm very serious".

As they were still gisting, the make-up artist finished her touch up and said carefully " young Miss... We are all set now"

Rose took her eyes away from the phone in her hands and stared at herself in the mirror, she thought to herself  'well I guess I'm a born beauty' she was feeling less nervous now, thanks to her bestie. 

At this moment her mother walked in and exclaimed "Oh my God, my darling is so beautiful"

Rose turned to her mother and smiled sweetly, while saying " you are very correct mum, I'm so so beautiful, I can't help but admire my self" she raised her chin smugly. 

Mother "..."

Helen "..."

Make up artist "...". Everybody was render speechless by her naccisstic attitude. 

Helen looked at her friend and couldn't hold herself back from saying to her "hey Rose, are you sure you want to praise yourself that much? "

Rose rolled her eyes at Helen and snapped "what do you mean? Are you insinuating that I'm not beautiful? "

She turned to her mum and asked shamelessly " mum, I'm  the most beautiful baby in the world right? "

Her mum immediately nodded her head  "yes...yes.. My baby is the most beautiful in the world"

Rose grinned from ear to ear and turned to look at Helen smugly, her eyes clearly saying 'you see, I wasn't lying'

Helen looked at her friend's smugged face and felt the urge to punch it. 

They all laughed happily, as Rose's Mum told them as she hurried out to quickly come out or else they will be late.
