After Derek and I met up with the other Alphas online, Derek seemed more relaxed knowing plans are in place. He intends to strike them first if we can find where they are hiding. We both still think that Max’s dad’s pack is a good guess.
Max is sitting on the couch, talking to Derek, and I’m happy to see the two of them work together. Max seems to have a sense of renewal after the Goddess spoke to him. I knew he had feelings for me, but never knew they ran that deep. Sure, we hung out often, but I realize now losing his mate made him more vulnerable to his emotions. It’s not to say his feelings for me weren’t genuine because I know they were.
