The morning moved slowly and then all at once. Jenna spent most of it on the phone, moving between the lobby and the conference room with the focused efficiency of someone managing multiple things that each required her full attention and had agreed among themselves not to require it simultaneously. Francis could track her circuit from the breakfast room, lobby to conference room to lobby again, her voice low and controlled, her face giving away the content of each call in small ways she probably didn't know about.
