40 Well before dawn the next morning, Sheldrake and Maud were seated in the public bar, eating a quick breakfast. Anton was waiting on them while Marjorie dashed in and out asking last minute questions about what to take. Ten minutes later, Stefan and Jackson returned from the rear of the inn to join them. “Everything is packed and ready to go,” reported Stefan. “But where is Lord Tarkyn?’ asked Maud impatiently. “We are ready to leave.” Jackson gave an apologetic smile. “His woodfolk are exhausted after yesterday.
