Issahil A slicing pain washed through me as Caleb suddenly reached for my palm and sliced through it with a knife. He held the burning clay pot under my palm, turning it so that streaks of my blood poured onto the pot. He was saying the spell as he performed this action. “By blood, by moonlight, grant me sight. Show me the path to my child tonight. Lead my spirit through realms unseen, to the one my heart longs to find.” With my eyes tightly shut, I repeated the spell Caleb chanted and as the last word left my lips, I felt a tap on my forehead. Once. Twice. Three times. My heart started to race, and at the same time, a strange washing over me like the world around me was fading. Like I was fading. My heart stopped eventually and I felt myself falling into a deep endless darkness
