"Let's get out of here before someone realises we are here,” Alpha Matthias said.
We carefully returned the book to its place and slipped back through the gate, locking it behind us.
As we made our way out of the library, Alpha Matthias turned to us. “Let's make a quick stop at the pub across and see if we can get any further information.”
Hudson and I both nodded our heads, almost in sync. The pub was another perfect place to dig for information as it was frequented by people from all walks of life.
Although it was still morning, the pub was half-filled. The hum of conversation and clinking of glasses welcomed us as we made our way in. A few heads turned to us we walked to an empty seat.
“What a set of good looking people, especially the lady.”
