MATEO WILLIAMS POV –
“God Jun, get your head out of the gutter.” I laughed throwing a pillow at him off the sofa. Which he easily caught and threw back at me.
“What it was only a question!” He exclaimed as he began to laugh. “So, she spoke to you? It wasn’t a case of mistaken identity or anything?” He asked, grabbing a slice a pizza as the laughter died down.
“Not unless someone else was following her around all afternoon in that village.” I sighed while taking a slice from my own separate meat feast. Jun always ordered Hawaiian pizza and I still have no idea how he can stomach it. Fruit doesn’t belong on pizza; it was simply wrong.
“So why were you following her? Boss said to avoid her at all costs and if she approached us or tried to talk to us, to get away asap and call it in.” He got out in between mouthfuls.
I still didn’t have an answer to that question myself. I have never felt compelled to gaze a woman for too long let along follow one for over two hours. I simply have no explanation for it, but I could tell Jun that, so I said the first thing that came to my mind instead.
“Have you seen her?” I question with a smirk.
“Nope.” He alleged while wiping tomato sauce from his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt, I grabbed a paper towel and handed it to him. He smiled at me, mouth still full then laughed a little.
“She is gorgeous Jun.” I uttered, smiling to myself at the thought of her bewitching little smirk and her melodic voice. When I looked back up, my eyes were met with the realisation of what I had just said. I knew I had spoken out of turn as Jun had stopped eating, something quite out of character and just stared at me almost with hope that he had misheard what I had just said. As I tried to hold my composure, Jun finally broke the silence smothering us.
“So, I’m guessing were not going to call it in?” He asked, all amusement was gone and in its place was a serious look. “You know I have your back no matter what, I just want to be on the same page.” He continued. I thought about it for a minute even though I already knew my answer.
“No.” He was still just looking at me. “At least not yet. If she approaches again then I will.” I hesitated.
Of course, he took note of my hesitation.
“Dude don’t do it.” He said with an expression I hadn’t seen on his face before.
“What?” I asked.
“Just don’t do it, trust me. It will not end well for anyone.” He said with a rather resigned sigh.
“What do you mean?” I asked with genuine interest and a storm brewing inside my head.
“Ten years ago, a company agent fell for a man she shouldn’t have. He was serious competition for the company, and I can tell you it didn’t end in a fairy tale. More like a horror movie. So just stay clear.” He stated before picking up his pizza box.
“Right I’m off for the night. Ill dig up whatever I can on your little minx and let you know what I find in the morning.” He patted my back twice before giving me a little salute and heading back to his own room.
The rest of the night was quiet, after a few more slices of pizza and a movie I was done. I went to my room to catch some much-needed sleep but lying in bed all I could think about was her.
I woke up and glanced at the clock on the bedside table to see it was only 8:30am. I decided to grab a quick shower before getting dressed and heading into the living room area where I expected to see Jun sprawled out on the sofa with all his computer gear on the coffee table but there was only a note telling me to meet him in the little café across from the hotel.
Walking into the café I spotted Jun in the corner booth with plates of food on the table. Enough for 4/5 people, even though it was only Jun and I. After settling in across from him the booth and a brief conversation we began to eat. I was almost finished when the smell of lavender immediately hit me, overpowering my senses and making my mouth water more than any food possibly could.
Turning around to steal a quick glance might as well have been my undoing.
She was wearing a flowing white knee-high dress that had buttons all the way up the middle and a simple white belt around her waist making her hourglass figure look positively ravishing and by god I wish I could r****h that creature.
The dress revealed that she had a tattoo a rather big one by the looks of it, flowers wrapped themselves and their vines and leaves all the way up her right leg, from her delicate looking feet and ankles all the way up her right leg as far as I could see, they came back down her right arm and hand, curving perfectly on her soft skin with whisp's of their vines on her neck.
Her candy apple red lipstick brought out the red shades in her auburn hair which was pinned back into a loose bun with small spiralled pieces falling to frame her face. She got even more beautiful every single time I saw her.
Turning back to look at Jun I finally noticed that he had been watching me, how long had I been trailing her with my gaze? Clearly long enough for him to take note.
“What?” I couldn’t help but bark out in a semi annoyed tone which was followed by Jun holding up his hands and suppressing a grumble of laughter.
“I can see why you didn’t want to call in her making contact.” He remarked with a low whistle and I couldn’t help the anger that bubbled to the surface as I watched his eyes roam up and down her body. When he did a double take and licked his lips, I saw red for a second. I was about to snap at him when he hurriedly looked away from her and straight at me.
“s**t I think she’s headed over here.” He whispered. While fumbling with sugar packets in his hand before dropping them back onto the table and then began to stir his half full cup of tea.
I was pretending to look at my meal when I saw her white strappy heels and stunning legs out the corner of my eye. Now that she was coming closer, I could see that the flowers in her tattoo were Orchids. Then she spoke and by god her voice was enough to bring grown men down, sweet and sultry all in one. Like the most alluring music in the universe and I could listen to her talk all day if she chose to bless me with that gift.
