ARC 1.1 : Onnell Maxwell

Elis opened her eyes as she tried to feel pain around her body, but the pain never came, so she looked around her body and that's when she noticed her body was in a perfect condition, there was no blood and there was no wound, she was perfectly fine and healthy. Feeling relieved, she looked around her and noticed that she was in her own room but something is kind of missing.

Walking to her door, she opened it but it was locked. Unsatisfied, she tried once again but the door was still locked. Frowning, she stepped back, this time using her full strength, she kicked the door, but to her dismay, the door didn't even move. Giving up, she walked towards the window and looked outside and this time she was in shock. There was nothing outside her room and that's when she realized there was no sound at all. There was no chattering, no sounds coming from her foster parents, there was nothing.

Elis walked towards her bed and she sat there trying to figure out what was happening to her. She tried to find a reason but nothing came to her. Suddenly, a white fluffy ball appeared in front of her, almost making her jump.

The fluffy ball didn't even move, even though she had stared at it for 15 minutes. Finally, after confirming that the white fluffy ball wouldn't move, she poked the fluffy ball, and she was so shocked when suddenly the fluffy ball opened its eyes.

"Scanning..." the fluffy ball suddenly made a sound and a white-green light came out from its eyes and landed towards Elis's body. Elis tries to run, but she seemed frozen on her spot.

"Scanning completed!" Once this was said, the light suddenly was gone and Elis could move again. Elis tried to run again, but she remembered that there was no place to run!

"Hello host, I'm your system number 777, it's nice to make you an acquaintance!" The fluffy ball talked as its eyes looked at Elis. It looked so innocent that it made Elis forget about feeling scared, so she crouched down and looked at the fluffy ball.

"Hello there, my name is Elis. Can you tell me where I am?" she asked. The fluffy ball smiled at her, it jumped towards Elis and Elis caught it by reflex. Elis was amazed how fluffy this ball was as she hugged it until she felt satisfied.

"Answering to the host, we are now inside a system void space, a place where a system like us will place its host and start an amazing adventure!" the fluffy ball answered and Elis looked at it with disbelief in her face.

"What?"

"Host, do you wish to see what happens after you've died?" the fluffy ball didn't explain anything but somehow Elis could only nod.

Suddenly, the TV lighted up and an image appeared.

Elis blinked her eyes as she could remember all of her painful memories as well as her happy thoughts about her foster family. She cried when she saw her friend and brother help her to avenge those hateful people, but the most painful for her was when she saw how sad he was when she kissed her cold lips, how lonely he was when he cried in front of her headstone. She's dead and has to admit she was no longer the young heiress of the Maxwell Family or alive. She was nothing but a soul in this void space.

"Host, I'm sorry for what has happened in your life, but I'll tell you what we will be going to do. My system is to help the second male lead @ cannon fodder from destruction so-"

"Wait!" Elis spoke as she looked at the fluffy ball. "Are you saying that this is the same as the system novel that I read in my past life?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, you don't need to explain anything, I understand fully about what you are trying to say, we are going to do missions. So how many missions and what is my reward after I've finished my mission?" Elis asked. The fluffy ball smiles and jumps happily.

"10 missions and a chance to go back into your world and start from the very beginning!"

Elis was speechless and finally tears fell from her eyes. She hugged the fluffy ball and kissed it.

"Thank you fluffy!" Elis said while hugging the fluffy ball.

"Fluffy?" The fluffy ball asked. Elis giggle a little.

"Yes, Fluffy, from now on your name is Fluffy!" Elis answered. When she was finally calm, she looked at Fluffy and smiled.

"Why don't we begin?"

Elis woke up with a painful headache. She looked around her and was a bit shocked to see a kid crying beside her, and it was so pitiful that it made Elis also want to cry with him.

"Sister! You woke up, thank God, thank God!" The little kid still crying as he buried his face on his palm. Elis smiled bitterly, she patted the little kid's head.

"I'm fine, why don't you help me get some water," Elis said, and the little kid nodded vigorously and soon disappeared.

"Fluffy!" Elis called and suddenly a white fluffy ball appeared.

"Yes, host?" Fluffy answered. Elis smiled at the fluffy ball while ruffling its fur.

"Give me this world story."

"Alright."

Elis closed her eyes and suddenly a lot of information about this world was transferred to her. She didn't receive any pain like in the novel system, instead, it's like seeing a movie in front of you, so she relaxes her body and enjoys the world's story.

This world is in the modern world and the female lead in this story is Christina James. She's a pretty young lady with a lot of confidence and her ambition is to become a successful model. She's very friendly and, eventually, she was scouted by a model agency, which she agreed to almost immediately. She became a part-time model, but soon she climbed out the ladder step by step. That's when she met the male lead, Rayner Osmond, a successful young man with a multi-billion income per year.

He met her by coincidence when Christina was running away from some hooligans and the male lead saved her. From there, the two of them fall in love and face a lot of scandal and problems, but of course, being a female lead and the male lead of this world, the two of them end up living happily ever after.

Nothing out of ordinary right? Well, wrong! Every story has its own second male lead and second female lead and, eventually, this character is cannon fodder. In this world, the second male lead is Onnel Maxwell, a young heir of the textile industry. He falls in love with the female lead when he meets her in school, where he helps her to become a successful model and voluntarily becomes the protector of the female lead, but sadly enough, he died when he protected the female lead from some crazy fans.

As for the second female lead, her name is Elis Knights, a nerd but very intelligent. She's very pretty, but she hides all of this because she believes that beauty doesn't stay forever, so she ends up with baggy clothes and unattractive glasses and braces, even so she is the daughter of the Knights family, a family that was known for their loyalty towards the royal family for, century and eventually a family that was respected even from the royal family itself. Elis was Rayner's fiancé, the two of them were childhood friend, she loves him, but he doesn't love her, even so, she helped him to court Christina and died from heartbreak. There was no scheme, but somehow the male lead hated her.

Elis open her eyes once the information was transferred to her, she looked at Fluffy and smiled at it.

"Let me guess, my name in this world is Elis Knights?" Elis said but more into question, Fluffy giggled a little, she jumps up and down, feeling pretty happy about having a sensible host.

"Yes! The host is very correct!" Fluffy answered. Elis nodded, she stood up and looked around her, her room was just like any other girl's room, the walls was painted in a soft blue color, and the curtain was dark blue, looks like Elis love the color blue. Elis walked to the mirror and looked at her body. She was shocked for a while because she saw her own face, and the only difference is the braces on her teeth.

"Fluffy, I need Elis's memory and give me the mission for this world." Elis asked and Fluffy fulfilled her demand without any resistance. Soon Elis received the memory, and she smirked when she received all the memories from the original's body.

"Host, this world is a tutorial world, so even if you fail the mission you won't be punished," Fluffy said and Elis nodded a little. She was not surprised to hear this.

"...and this is the mission for this world," Fluffy said, and a hologram appeared in front of them. Elis read the mission one by one and felt satisfied that the mission is quite easy. No wonder that this world is known as a tutorial.

"The point, what is it for?" Elis asked. Fluffy looked at his host and jumped towards her which Elis caught him by reflex.

"Same like the system book that you've read, you could use the points to buy things in the system shop but, of course, in the tutorial world, this function is still unavailable. Another use of the points is, it will help you in your original world." Fluffy explained and Elis nodded, satisfied with Fluffy's explanation.

"Well then, let the game begin!"
