When Maddie got up to head into the restroom, she paused by the front door. “Hey, where did this come from?”
Sienna scrunched up her face as she stared at the folded-in-half sheet of paper that had evidently been slid under her door after Jake’s arrival. She had received an anonymous note similar to this not long after moving into her condo. The writer had complained about her tendency to run the vacuum in the middle of the night when she couldn’t sleep, but she hadn’t acted on that particular quirk again after realizing it bothered someone living in her condo complex.
“What did I do to offend the neighbors now?” she wondered aloud as Maddie delivered the note to her.
