28 It was a long, tiring day. Apparently, every nitpicky plaintiff, whiny defendant, and blowhard attorney in the Midwest had decided to make an appearance in her courtroom today. Deciding that she deserved a piece of chocolate cake––or two––for dinner before watching a mindless reality television show and falling into bed early, she dug in her black leather Coach handbag for the keys to her condo.
