Chapter Eleven The Police Detective The next few days were without a doubt the best time of my life. At work I hired a bartender to help me and an additional waitress to replace the one I lost. After just a few hours of training, the new employees were capable of working without assistance. The bar never ran better. I was able to spend less time pouring drinks and more time watching Anne-Marie work the tables in her station. I thought perhaps I may even be able to take an extra day off every week with Anne-Marie, now that I had a full staff. My stress level was reduced, my headaches were gone and I had more energy to enjoy my wonderful new relationship.
