Just by looking at her, everyone in the room could see just how absolutely terrified she looked. Within moments Darius was standing next to her, his dragon reacting instinctively to protect his mate when sensing and smelling the fear emanating from her and filling the room around them.
Holding her close, feeling her body tremble against his, Darius stood whispering nonsense into her ear till he felt the worst of her fears leave her. Turning to Collin he started barking orders.
“Collin, you go open the door when the bell rings. Aria, you go to the children. Make sure they are cared for and no one enters the room. Get some of Alexandro’s people to watch at the door. Collin, Alexandro has to be on full alert. This guy will NOT get my family!”
