“Is she okay?” I asked the doctor.
“Yes, she is fine. She passed out due to shock. Once she is well rested she will be alright. You can take her home soon after getting her prescriptions.” He replied.
“Thank you.” I let out a long sigh when he left, staring at Isadora who was still sleeping.
The past few hours have been hectic. Briar’s sudden outburst, revealing her identity with no ounce of shame, and Isadora passing out in shock, make me a bit destabilized. I expected Briar to be sorry for ghosting me for years, making me believe that she was truly gone from my life. Her mannerisms had me in stitches. She appears bolder and unbothered. Nothing like the Briar that I used to know. She was always so shy and tried hard to please me. What happened to her?
