DAVE “You didn’t use a condom?” she asked, her eyes wide. But there was no sign of panic. I know her well enough to recognize when she’s truly panicking, and this wasn’t it. She was just… surprised. I ran a hand through my hair, the nerves starting to settle. Rolling off the bed, I stood up and made my way toward the bathroom to start drawing a bath for us. “Aren’t you going to say anything?” she called out, her voice raising. Then, as if to emphasize her point, she threw one of the pillows at me. I smirked but didn’t turn back. Stepping into the bathroom, I turned on the tap, letting the water flow into the tub.
