"Who the hell do you think you are?!” I screamed with frustration. Tears were pooling out of my eyes and my throat burned.
Sameer stood, wearing gray pajamas and an olive green t-shirt, some foot away from me in his expensive apartment. The interiors of his apartment looked soothing as I designed it, ironic to the atmosphere inside of it.
His eyes were burning with anger, and I got scared because I know what that means- Right now he would say anything, he would do anything.
But no more today! I was going to put an end to it.
"I am the person who made you who you are today!" He roared and gulped down the entire glass of wine down his throat. His whole body vibrated with anger.
"You? You did nothing but shattered me into little pieces! You have destroyed me Sameer"
He gritted his teeth hard, strode towards me and grabbed my upper arm tightly.
Hell! I winced.
At that moment I felt nothing but anger. Anger for the guy who I once loved immensely.
I yanked my arm away and took a small step behind.
"You will stay away from me"
He laughed sarcastically.
"Who wants to be near you?"
It felt like a slap to my already shattered feelings, and my heart squeezed down further into a tiny little ball. I tried to hold back those silly tears, but damn I lost.
"I gave you more than you deserve" his voice came out arrogant and he looked down at me as if I never meant anything to him.
"You did not give me anything!" I yelled, as I was tired of listening to his made-up crap. "I have earned what I have today myself! Your manager gave me the opportunity to design your office by seeing my work! You never even knew about that. So stop telling me about that crap of yours!" My throat ached and my head spun around. I need to end this.
He inhaled and gritted his teeth.
"You are a piece of shi.."
And I slapped him, hard. It's his face that made me realize that I actually did it.
"You!" He screamed.
I waited for a second or two, making him look at my face and remember what it is like to be insulted. And without waiting a second more, I turned around and walked out of his apartment without looking back.
