We both got settled down in the cab after placing our bags in the trunk and asked the driver to head to the hotel which Ahaan had suggested.
It was still noon and the placed looked incredible. I couldn't believe that I actually was in Prague. How crazy is that? Without planning and thinking!
I felt giddy about that.
"You look really happy today" Ahaan stated and I turned back to face him.
I smiled "I am" He had that perfect face, perfect pointed nose, sculpted lips and dark brown eyes that matched with the color of his perfectly styled hair.
How did he manage to have that kind of styled hair through such a long flight?
Flight! That brought me back to our current situation.
"Why are you here in Prague?" I asked.
I hoped I didn't sound rude. I was happy actually that he was there.
He inhaled first then answered "Well, I’ve told you already; I wanted some free time"
"Why Prague then?"
Shut the hell up Sana! What do you want him to say anyway?
His eyes gleamed at that, but he answered with a straight face "It's better to have a company than to be alone. Right? Unless you regret seeing me here?" His voice came out playful, making me blush a little.
My heartbeat was fast all throughout our conversation. The reason? I don't know. It could be the way he looks at me, with so much passion in his eyes or the fact that he is ridiculously hot. My eyes automatically darted down to his lips.
After a moment I saw his head c****d to a side and his eyes looking at my face "what are you thinking?" He asked, almost amused.
I shook my head and looked away.
Damn!
And suddenly I remembered our conversation in the car and how he was gone the next morning, so I blurted out,
"Why did you leave last night without saying even a goodbye?"
I was for some reason hurt by that. I couldn't believe at that time that he was actually gone! I even searched for him everywhere.
He looked hesitant for a moment but then in microseconds he had those passive expression back on his face. "I had some work"
I looked in his eyes but could read nothing.
All I sensed was- that wasn't the truth. But I didn't say anything. I looked away and peeked out through the window.
There was a trail of long and beautiful buildings, which clearly looked historical. People kept walking to and fro opposite the buildings or the pavement. Some women looked like some kind of princess in their hat, while some kept it casual in a cap or sneakers.
Our car stopped for some seconds at a red light and I could see out with content. The roads were wide, I saw people crossing roads, couple kissing and others holding hands. I saw families, group of friends, some looked tourists the way we both were, while some kept walking straight without glancing around- clearly depicting they were locals.
For some unknown reason my brain remembered the thought of an unbelievably hot guy sitting next to me. Although we were complete strangers to each other, but for some rare reason he didn't feel like a stranger. I even saw him in my dream. Gosh! I am crazy.
From the corner of my eyes I saw him looking out too, I turned around my face to look at him and he looked...lost.
What he must be thinking?
Suddenly the car pulled over and we both looked at each other.
I was smiling and he reciprocated.
We both got out of the car and looked up to see that beautiful building standing in front of us. It was painted light yellow and had some kind of carvings made on its walls. The main door was so giant that it made us look so tiny against it. It had a painting made on it and when I looked up I saw beautiful old-fashioned windows.
I sensed our driver picking our bags from the trunk. I turned around and picked my bag up and heard Ahaan saying something I couldn't understand "jak moc?"
The driver said something and when Ahaan produced his wallet out then I understood.
Damn! I have to change the currency too.
I felt so embarrassed that he had to pay for me too.
What if he wouldn't be here?
He came to me, grabbed his bag and looked down at me with a smiling and excited face. "Shall we?"
I nodded, half smiling.
We both entered inside the building. The building looked ancient from inside as well. The hall was crowded.
Is it a tourist time to visit Prague? So much for off-season in India.
I looked around and saw the light brownish walls that had a crushed paper kind of texture, making the building historical in some manner. On spotting a reception desk behind the crowd, at the left from the entrance we both walked towards it, and stood behind two couple and a friends’ group in the queue. I moved to look at the person on the reception desk and saw a guy with blond hair and piercing on his lips, talking to another guy in the queue in his own English accent.
We waited until our chance came.
"We need two rooms" Ahaan said
Two? But that would charge hell a lot of money.
The guy looked at his screen, and after a moment he made a weird face and said "Sorry. One room available"
Ahaan opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off "Hey that's cool. Book us that one room"
Ahaan instantly looked at me, his face looked shocked "Are you sure? We can go somewhere else"
The guy in reverse was pretty prompt "I'm sorry to interrupt but Praha is pretty much booked at this time"
"Okay then" I said and smiled at the guy. I looked up to see Ahaan, who didn't look fine with it at all, so I placed my hand to his arm, and hell a shiver ran down my body. His biceps felt too strong and tight. He looked down, his eyes- focused on mine and his lips- parted to catch his breath.
I cleared my throat "Its fine. I'm fine with a single room"
The guy announced the amount that need to be paid in advance and this time I produced my card microseconds earlier than his golden card.
Shucks! How rich is he?
"Sana!" His tone had a warning attached to it but hell I didn't care. I was more focused on taking my ground at that time.
"Here" I said to the guy
From the corner of my eyes, I saw him pinching the bridge of his nose.
Well, rich or not! He shouldn't be paying for me.
The guy gave us the key card and some instructions to where the room would be.
"And here" the guy called out. He produced a brochure towards us. I took it and said thanks without looking at it.
We both grabbed our bags and moved towards the elevators. Ahaan pressed the button and soon the car arrived.
Around 4-5 people stepped out of it. Some looked Americans, some from somewhere else. There was even an Indian couple and a purple haired girl. She came out of it in the last and before stepping out, she checked Ahaan out shamelessly.
Really?
We both stepped inside, joined by a group of friends. Their accent gave away them as Russians.
Having those people around, constantly reminded me that I was in Prague and not India!
Ahaan was quiet. I looked at my side, up at him to see him looking straight.
"What?" I whispered
"I don't like you paying, Sana"
My heart sped up, on the mentioning of my name from his mouth.
He looked down and raised his brow. "Please don't do that again" his voice, though soft but sounded irritated.
"But I want to give my part of the expense myself. You don't have to do that for me"
He exhaled and nodded.
Now that wasn't difficult, was it?
Soon we reached the second floor and stepped out with others.
We both kept walking straight, and found the room in the middle of that big-ass corridor.
I inserted the key card, opened the door and stepped inside to see an enlightened room. Enlightened by the sunlight. We found the lights’ switch and the minute we turned it on, the place looked even more spectacular.
