“No, we're going to stay right here.” Eric exhaled a breath. “I’m leaving town tonight and I want you to come with me. I have everything I need in the car except you. You already have your bag packed. Wait, why were you packing a bag?” Lacey licked her lips nervously.
“I was going to stay at Izzy’s.” It was the truth. “You know, with the shooting happening at my sister’s, I figured it would be the safest.”
