Arthur sat in the dark all night. At first, part of him wanted to blame Sarah. Why hadn't she told him about the pregnancy? Why had she chosen to end it alone? Why hadn't she given him a chance to explain? Each time the thought surfaced, the three files on the nightstand answered him. Sarah had asked if he cared why she was in the hospital.
