ACCALIA The stay lasted for four weeks, I did nothing expect from eating, taking baths in the river and exploring the nature. And then I had discovered how peaceful it was when I was in absolute silence, the nature was glorific. I only had Ryrick as I grew up, we were immortals, who possessed no power, so when we hit the age of twenty one, we stop growing all together, our body doesn't changes nor does anything else. We were to live for eternity. Though we could be killed at any time with anything, Ryrick died because of an unknown creature which was teared him apart. I avert my eyes back at Lady Isodra and Clyra who was sitting next to me, sipping her tea silently. "Accalia and Clyra, I'm here to tell you both something really important. You see, we are running out of space to accommodate anymore helpers, there are really more than good helpers out there wanting to help out patients, they really are capable and talented. And with that saying, I want to tell you, that I — I no longer can have you both in the infirmary" My mouth opens wide at what Lady Isodra had to say. She was kicking us out? After years of serving her and helping the infirmary grow? Clyra dropped the tea cup on the table, the tea spilling down as well. My eyes turn to see Lady Isodra sitting there with fingers fidgeting with each other. I huff in annoyance, did I had a say in this? "I'm sorry Clyra and Accalia, it wasn't my alone decision, the other high members proposed this idea" Lady Isodra sounded guilty, maybe it wasn't her fault, at all. Clyra was awfully silent, she had devoted everything in the infirmary and did her best, she was dedicated to what she did, her face fell, she sucked a breath in. "Whatever, don't just ever ask for our help when you guys run out helpers. Thankyou for everything Lady Isodra" Saying, Clyra got up, grabbing my hand on her way and she dragged me out of the room with a scowl on her face, she was really furious at Lady Isodra, even though it wasn't much of her fault. "Morons, useless piece of shits" Clyra continued cure them under her breath with her hold on my wrist still intact. We walked past several helpers out of our way to infirmary. I had no place to go other than the room that I had in the infirmary. I did not posses much, absolutely nothing. We were fed by the infirmary and given clothes by them. Whereas Clyra had her grandmother who was centuries old, we start to grow old after some centuries but Clyra's grandmother never looked like a old person, rather she was an enthusiastic woman I had ever met. Her grandmother lived in the next village. "What are we going to do?" I ask silently, Clyra stopped in her tracks, looking at me with her eyes glistening with tears. "Oh Clyra" I engulfed her into a hug, rubbing her back and calming her down. She hiccuped and after some minutes of staying in my arms, she stopped crying. Breaking apart, Clyra rubbed her nose, and ran her fingers through her hair. "We are going to get through this, alright?" I assure her, and she nods her head, wiping her face off the tears. It breaks my heart to see her crying, to see her helpless. Clyra, I and Ryrick were quite close, we used to be together through thick or thin but with Ryrick gone, it just feels like me and Clyra are tearing apart. After walking down the streets in the village, it starts to turn dark, and Clyra and I are sitting on a bench in the middle of the street, there is silence in the atmosphere. "What are we going to do?" Clyra asks me and to be honest, I don't have a clue about what we are going to do from now on, not a day ago we had shelter on our heads and now everything is just gone. The higher members should have atleast given us a place to live but they are too selfish, bastards. The sun is setting low and we are still unaware of which place to go. "Clyra, why don't you go to your grandmother? Maybe stay there for some days?" I suggest, it was the only idea I had for her. She turns towards me with a frown. "And leave you here all alone? f**k no Accalia" I stare at her with disbelief in my eyes. Her grandmother wasn't fond of me nor Ryrick, I knew from the very moment Clyra made me meet her, she had a scowl on her face and she had told to her granddaughter to get better and high classed friends. "Clyra, atleast one of us can have comfort, and how long will you go without a shelter on your head? And I can figure out something for myself, don't worry" "Are you out of your mind Accalia? You think I can live in peace knowing that I left you all alone? Hell no Accalia, just listen to me, I am not going anywhere" Clyra is stubborn, I know her, she won't listen to me nor she would have listened to Ryrick. I sigh, my mind was back to work, thinking where we could possibly go. "Okay, hear me out, you go to your grandmother tonight, and ask her if I can stay there for some days until I find a place to live, you can do that now, right?" I push down a voice which is telling me to not suggest this idea but I have no other choice. Clyra is thinking, she is deep in thoughts. "Maybe that isn't a bad idea, I will convince her somehow, anyhow to let you stay there for some days" I bite down at my bottom lip and nod my head. "You'll find me here in the morning, now that you know what we are going to do, go to your grandmother before it's too dark" I feel bad for lying to her, this is not how I wanted things to go, I never thought a day would come when I had to lie to my friend. Clyra keeps an assuring hand in my shoulder and gives me a small smile. "Stay here, don't go anywhere, and I'm sorry for leaving you for the night here, I'll be back soon, alright?" Saying, she gets up, as she starts to walk away from me, she turns around, giving me hand wave and a smile. Maybe this was the last time I was going to see her. I feel the cold wind blow by, my stomach is grumbling with hunger and all I want to do is curl up into a ball and have something hot to drink. My vision is blurry with tears as I continue walking down an unknown street. It was for the best, I didn't wanted to be a burden on her, this was not how I pictured myself several years ago – walking aimlessly with no destination. The moon is high up in the sky, the rain clouds have clustered together, it will be raining any second now. A lighting bolt strikes in the sky, followed by the deep and loud rumbling of thunder. I shiver when a rain drop touches my skin. I had been an orphan ever since I was born, unknown to who gave birth to me or who was my father, were they alive or dead? If they are alive, were they living a good life? Why did they leave me all alone? Was I a mistake? Questions erupt through my head. Till yesterday, I had a purpose to live and keep going, but today, it just looks like no one needed me any longer. I look up at the sky, the rain comes pouring down and I let myself drown in the feeling of misery. Even though my body is shivering, I make no attempt to move or do anything about it. I feel my eyes heaving, my breathing becoming fainter, was this my end? Was I going to die this way? Before I closed my eyes completely shut, I feel two strong pairs of hand circle around my waist, preventing me from falling. And I stare into the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, atleast I was lucky to see something so mesmerizing before my death.
