The look I saw in her eyes undid any rationality I had been hiding since I was young. I smelled her as she approached my cabin and for some reason, I thought it was a brilliant idea to answer the door in my towel instead of getting dressed. However, seeing her nostrils flare as she followed the water dripping down my body, I was glad I did. Jason growled impatiently in my mind as we looked upon Chase 'Take HER!' I had not seen him pace this much since we first scented Jonah and Eric on their 18th birthday.

Slowly I reached for Chase and took her hand walking backwards bringing her into my cabin. "A....Aaron." Her voice was no louder than a mouse, but I heard her clearly as my blood began to pool in my pants. Watching her lick her lips made my shaft harden painfully.

Before I could even register what, I was doing I closed the door to my cabin quickly and pinned her against the door. Biting my lip, I growled softly trying to calm my desires, but I knew looking into her eyes that my resolve was not going to last long. All I wanted to do was claim her and my body was not listening to me as my knee met with her wet core and I groaned feeling my leg grow wetter with her arousal. Leaning forward I stopped myself a breath away from her lips. “Tell me to stop if you don't want this Chase."

The whimper that left her lips almost made me pull away until I noticed that she made no move to push me away and spoke no words of refusal. 'NOW' Jason practically screamed in my mind and that was all I needed to finally claim her lips with my own.

The second our lips touched I felt all the pieces of the universe fall into place and my body fill with a fire that burned me making my desire for her undeniable. Her lips on mine felt like they were made for me, and I couldn't help myself as my hands began to roam her body.

I groaned as my hands found her perfectly round butt lifting her off the ground as we kissed. Chase gasped against my lips as she wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my hips. I slowly moved us to the couch grinning when my towel fell off along the way. My erection pressed against the fabric of her pants causing a friction that was making my vision cloud. I grinned laying her under me on the couch pulling away to get a look at the woman I had cared for all my life.

Chases face was flushed red, and her lips were tinged purple from my kisses which filled my chest with pride and made Jason Howl in excitement. I saw that I was staring to long when her eyes began to clear, and her hands pulled at her shirt pulling it down shyly. I grinned leaning down to kiss her neck.

"Aaron." She said softly bringing a hand up to pet my head.

I sighed softly nuzzling into her hand, "I know Chase." I said looking down at her smiling softly. "You don't have to say it... actually please don't say it." kissing her cheek softly I got off her walking into my bedroom to the right of the living room. When I came back Chase was sitting on the couch having straightened out her clothes. "Should we get going?"

"Um..." She bit her lip clearly trying to come up with something to say. Jason whimpered softly still smelling her arousal causing him to be restless in my mind. "Can we talk?"

"I would rather not." I moved to the counter in the kitchen gathering my wallet and keys wanting to get out of the cabin since it was filled with the scent of our arousals and made me want to do nothing but rip her clothes off.

"Why... Why did you kiss me?" She said softly standing from the couch. When I turned to look at her, I no longer saw the warrior that had shocked me when I arrived to the Moonlight pack. I saw the weak little maid who I had been friends with all those years ago. She pulled on her sleeves nervously awaiting my answer.

I couldn’t help myself as I frowned looking at how I made her question her worth. "Because I am in love with you." my eyes went wide when I realized what I had said. It was the truth I had been in love with Chase since I was 8. I didn’t even know what love was then but I knew I loved her. However, I had always wanted to tell her at the right time. Really Aaron this is the moment you chose! After all these years you pick the moment when you reduced her into a weak little maid after being strong for so long.

My inner monologue stopped instantly when I saw the shock in her eyes. How could she be shocked? I may have never said the words before, but I knew I wasn't good at hiding my feelings so how was it a surprise that I was in love with her. Chase shook her head and I saw her open her mouth to say something and I copied her shaking my head. "Chase I am not looking for you to answer me or argue with me. You asked why and I told you. I don't know why you have suddenly become meek again, but I don't want to hear anything if you are going to simply disregard my feelings. I have loved you since you covered yourself in flour. I was absolutely destroyed when I heard you reject Grayson because it meant that the moon goddess had not made you my mate. I was over the moon when I found you again and you do not know how proud I am every time I see you be the kick ass woman, I always knew you could be."

I cupped her face forcing her to look at me in my eyes, "You are a kick ass woman, a hell of a mother and the best baker I have ever met. If I could, I would grow old and fat by your side. Even more than that though I just want you to be happy and if me being here makes you revert into the scared little girl that you once were then I will finish my business and leave."

This couldn't be true. Aaron just told me he loved me, there was no way that I could be hearing him correctly. Ash purred in my mind at Aarons confession, and I couldn't help nuzzling into his hand on my face. It would be so easy to get lost in this feeling and fall for Aaron. However, memories started forcing their way forward in my mind and I was reminded once again how I couldn't allow myself to care for him like that. I had once thought I could be with the Alpha, but ass hat Gamma Grayson made sure I knew that it could never happen.

Shaking my head, I pulled away from Aaron and took a deep breath calming my body down. Once I had gotten a hold of my emotions, I opened my eyes and smiled softly at the Alpha in front of me. "We have a meeting to go to Alpha we should get going." I had no choice but to disconnect completely from what was going on or I felt like I would drown in hope.

His defeated sigh almost made me waver, but I had to be strong as the next Luna of my pack, "Let’s go then. We need to figure out why the outcasts have made their way to your pack. If they are here, then that means that the Dark side pack will be their next target. We have to stop them here before they take over all of us."

"Yes, we need to figure out how they found us and devise a plan. If they get our land, then they will have the resources needed to take over yours." I grabbed my keys and phone that had fallen on the floor and headed for the front door but couldn't bring myself to open it. Taking a deep breath, I turned towards Aaron and leveled him with my stare. "Thank you... for telling me. I... I can't respond one way or the other for a variety of reasons but... I want you to know that... It made me happy." I couldn't stop the blush that covered my face and turned practically running from the cabin. I knew he wouldn't bring up what had happened in public so by leaving the cabin I had ended the conversation.

I started walking towards the meeting hall feeling Aaron behind me. When had I started to notice his footsteps more than others? When had his scent begun to calm me so much? 'Since you were 11 you nit wit' Ash growled at me highly irritated that I had practically pushed Aaron away from us. 'He wanted us, and you stopped...' He pouted laying his head on his paws.

'You know we cannot be with him. Besides not being good enough there is no way I will ever return to the Dark Side pack, and he is their Alpha. As Alpha and Luna of 2 different packs we cannot be together.' I tried to reason with Ash, but he was having none of it and I didn't blame him. When Aaron had kissed me, I had seen Ash and Jason nuzzle one another. Ash was usually aggressive with other wolves but with Jason he calmed and burrowed into his neck. I had never seen my wolf so tame, and I felt for him but there was no way to help him. "Crap I forgot the donuts!"

Aaron laughed softly as he moved past me holding open the meeting hall doors for me. He lifted his left hand showing me the box of donuts in his hand. "I noticed them as we left and figured if we forgot them Katie may kill us. Better safe than sorry when it comes to the pregnant lady."

He told me he loved me and gracefully accepted when I told him I couldn't return his feelings. Then to top it off he made sure that we brought donuts for my pregnant friend and continued to smile at me. Aaron was perfect... and I was going to end up destroying him. We needed to get our meetings over with and get him to leave before I did something that would hurt both of our packs.
