Second Rotation

~Aaron~ You know eventually I would like to actually sit down with this village and enjoy a dinner. The first night I spilled my guts to Bryan... Yuck. The second night I was resting to get ready for the second rotation so I could help watch the Outcasts. How was I going to get Chase to open up to me like she used to if I could never get close to her except in an official capacity!!! 'Oh, so you admit that you want the little wolf?' Jason grinned in my mind nudging his head against my leg. 'Why are you so into my attraction to her! It’s not like she is our second chance mate so your attachment to Chase and Ash is really starting to bug me.' I snapped back at Jason before I could think. I frowned when Jason didn't respond. You would think that not hearing his smart-ass response would be a good thing, but it was actually unnerving. Finally, I heard him sigh softly, 'I cannot explain it but... He calms me like Eric did. I don't understand it either the level of attraction you and I have for both of them should only exist with a mate bond... But that’s not what this pull is.' 'Maybe we are simply supposed to be friends?' However, even as I said this that answer made me want to punch a hole in the closest tree. 'You and I both know this pull is stronger than that of friendship and even familiarity... This is the same pull but it’s different. It’s almost as if it was a chosen bond but we have made no such bond with one another.' Jason paused looking up at the sky. 'We knew this bond when I first appeared, and I would say they felt it as well. So, the only question is... What is this bond?' Our conversation ended for now because neither one of us had an answer. Frowning I shook my head and decided that the best course of action was to focus on the task at hand. I smiled softly when I saw Lilly standing by the dining hall with two other men and a wolf. "Hello future Beta." I gave a slight bow as I approached. "Aaron!" Lilly beamed practically floating into my arms giving me a tight squeeze. It amazed me that she and Chase were best friends because their personalities seemed to be complete opposites. Chase had grown serious with her dedication and drive for the Moonlight pack while Lilly seemed to be kind of an airhead with nothing but rainbows and butterflies in her head. "It is good to see that you are as welcoming as always." I laughed patting her back lowering her to the ground. "I find it ruder to call you by your title when you have made it clear that you hate your title." She smiled sweetly. "Anyways Aaron, I would like you to meet the rest of our team." She motioned to the two men and the wolf. "I thought the team we devised was us and three men? Where is the other?" "What, don’t you like having a team mascot?" Lilly giggled and squealed happily as the wolf nipped at her leg. "I am sorry about my mate he can be a little testy." One of the men spoke up stroking the wolf behind its ear. "It is okay... But why is he in wolf form already?" Our plan had been to transform when we got into the woods since our wolfs had better sense of smell and sight. However, we did not want to transform in the village because the children would begin to suspect if they saw us running around in our wolf forms. "Well... Um first this is Alexander," Lilly motioned to a big bear of a man with red hair and golden eyes. The man nodded and said hello in a thick Scottish accent. I nodded back with a smile. "And they are Ian and Tyler... Tyler is currently in his wolf form whose name is Alice." Lilly c****d her head not sure how to explain. The man she motioned to, Ian, chuckled happily at her confusion. He was a tall man at 6ft 3in with blue hair and blue eyes. "My mate is Tyler he is a handsome man. However, ... Much like our future Luna he has a wolf of the opposite gender. It seems like his wolf Alice and my wolf Tyrone had too much fun last week. Now Alice is pregnant and while his wolf is pregnant, he is unable to transform back until after the pup is born." I tried to keep up with Ian’s explanation my head hurting a little bit. "I was not aware that men could have children together." "I understand. Trust me we were just as shocked when we found out this morning. Sometimes when Alice gets sick Tyler gets stuck in her form, so we thought he was just sick when we went an hour ago to the doctors. Little did we know we were having a pup. It is so rare, that the doctor is not sure if the pup will be full wolf or werewolf, but we are excited none the less. We never thought we'd have a family when we got mated but I guess the moon goddess had another plan." Ian beamed happily leaning down to hug his mate around his neck. "Wait if your mate is pregnant why is he in the front lines? I know Zaria was not put in the rotation for this exact reason." I gasped softly looking at Lilly. Lilly sighed softly looking serious for the first time since I got here. "Unfortunately, they found out about an hour ago and we have not been able to rearrange the groups yet. Chase is working on it but for now it is important to keep Ian and Tyler close and use Tyler as our runner for information. This will keep him out of the way and make sure their pup stays safe." I nodded at her explanation. It was the only reasonable thing to do considering the tight time schedule we were on. Shortly after we all moved to the tree line, left a set of clothes for after, and transformed into our wolves darting towards the edge of the territory to meet up with Avery's squad. Avery relayed all she had learned before the left for some much-needed rest. You know what’s annoying about being a guest... NOT HAVING A MIND LINK!!! I, an Alpha, have to sit here while these four decide what we are doing next. Sit there like a good little puppy. I mean really should I roll over and let them rub my belly too!!! Sighing I shook my head as I noticed Lilly move towards me. Her wolf was just as pixie like as her personality standing slightly bigger than the others, due to her Gamma blood, with blonde almost white hair that seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. I had to admit that this woman and her wolf were captivating, and I was sure she had many suitors after her. However, she was nothing compared to Chase. Lilly leaned in close to me and touched our foreheads together in order to speak with me, 'We have decided that you and I will take the east and they will watch on the west. From those sides we will be able to see if the Outcasts move at all. And there will be two of them to watch over Tyler in case something happens with him or Alice.' 'Makes sense I will follow your lead.' I nodded to her and waited momentarily in order to follow her deeper into the forest. We found a grouping of trees that would place us in the shadows hidden from the Outcasts view and had the wind pushing our scent away from the group so we would be entirely invisible. I laid my paw on Lilly’s sighing softly. 'You know I really hate not being able to communicate with all of you. It makes me feel like a sitting duck since I cannot relay any information'. Lilly giggled once again the feeling of it floating through my head like air after a fresh rain. 'Aw little Alpha does it hurt your pride?' 'No, it doesn’t' hurt my pride' I groaned rolling my eyes. 'Honestly it is annoying that I need to be physically touching you to communicate at all. I do not know if Chase told you, but I actually hate being touched... for the most part.' 'You mean except when you’re pinning our future Luna on your couch and devouring her lips while your towel "falls" to the ground.' She hackled in my mind. I gasped wiping my head to look at her. 'She told you!' Her nod made me groan and lay my head on my other paw. 'I cannot believe she told you that... And yes, my towel was an accident!' I stared at her and c****d my head. 'Why is it that I can feel the sarcasm and judgement pouring out of your pours.' 'I am very emotionally raw. I don't believe in hiding my emotions even a little bit.' She shrugged her shoulders and started to lick her free paw to clean behind her ears. 'When you hide your emotions, people think too much about what your body language means... it can make life complicated. Therefore, if I hide nothing than there can be no misunderstandings.' she stopped cleaning herself and looked straight forward. 'I want to live in a world where there are no misunderstandings.' 'Sounds like there is a story there' I smiled softly but did not push the issue. I nudged her with my shoulder and looked forward. We sat there for a while just watching the Outcasts as they sat in their makeshift camp. They sat in the dark poking a small fire every once in a while, but never made any moves to do anything different. Around midnight I was starting to lose hope that anything interesting would happen when a woman suddenly appeared in the middle of the outcast camp. Lilly stood ready to mount a rescue attempt when I held up my paw telling her to wait. I saw her eyes grow silver flakes as she relayed the command to Ian and Alexander. I watched this newcomer and frowned when I noticed that the Outcasts paid her no attention. Something was different about this outsider her scent was not wolf which outcasts once were. She stood proud with ebony skin and black hair braided back with blue highlights in it. Something was very wrong especially when she walked straight up to an outcast and started asking questions. Their body language showed that this newcomer was giving orders and asking how things were going. The outcast seemed to be communicating... as best as an outcast could. Once the newcomer was satisfied with the information, she relayed an order and then much to our surprise the outcasts put out their fires and left the Moonlight territory. Outcasts were supposed to be mindless wolves so how was this outsider able to not only communicate with them but also order them and make them submit to her command. Lilly nudged me bringing me out of my thoughts and when I looked back at where the woman had once been she was gone. I stood up on all four legs looking around trying to find her. "Looking for me little wolf?" Slowly I turned around and looked up staring straight into the newcomer’s eyes. Her eyes shocked me more than anything else. They were pure blue, and I swear if I looked closely enough, I could see them moving like waves in the ocean. The newcomer smirked down at me, "Well, Well, well what do we have here. If it isn't Alpha Aaron of the Dark Side pack. You’re a little way away from home, aren't you?" I growled at her my hair standing up on end as Jason tried to push forward wanting to rip her apart. "Calm down alpha if I wanted to hurt any of you, I would have gone after the pregnant wolf not the Alpha and," She paused to smell the air, "I'm going to go with Gamma." "Leave Lilly Alone!" "I am not after her... This was a warning. Next time I will not be able to stop the attack so I will tell you this." She knelt before me. "Alpha this is much more dire than you know. It goes back to the end of the Orion Pack. If you have a chance of stopping the battle that is coming, then find out the truth of what happened there and what has been going on in your own pack. Without both of those peices you have no hope of stoping the upcoming battle." With that warning she turned and was gone as quickly as she appeared. Lilly nudged me and we met up with the others returning to the Moonlight pack. Groaning I turned back into my human form pulling on my pair of basketball shorts. "What was that, Aaron!" Lilly snapped at me. I frowned looking at her, "What do you mean? She gave us a warning we have to go tell Chase what she said." Lilly paused looking at me, "What warning... All I saw was her appear, you growled then you two just staired at each other." I looked at her wide eyed, "Wait... you heard none of that." She shook her head. "If you heard nothing that means we were talking in a mind link... Which means whoever that woman is... she is part of my pack!"
