An old friend

~Alpha Aaron~ Nodding I followed the men once again as they led us to the center of town and into a small building labeled city hall. By my packs standards this building was too small to be an official Alpha office. However, for the town it was beautiful, and I loved it. In all of my admiration I had yet to realize that I was now in front of three stunningly beautiful women. Blushing softly, I gave a slight bow to them, "Hello you three must be Luna Avery," I motioned to the brunette. "Beta Katie," I waved at the blonde. "And Gamma Laurie," I waved once more. My blush grew deeper as all six of the people in front of me burst into laughter. "I got that completely wrong, didn't I? I've always been bad at guessing." A small sigh left my lips as I rubbed the back of my head with a goofy smile. "You are not at all what I was expecting Alpha Aaron. However, somehow you are exactly what I expected." The red head smiled moving in front of me. "I am Luna Avery; the Brunette is Katie, and the Blonde is Laurie." "I should have known that. I met your daughter a moment ago and she has your hair. Then there is the fact that Katie smells of pregnancy and Bryan already revealed that his mate was with child again." I smiled up at her. "Katie is that why you've been invading the bakery! Seriously you two calm down. You're going to overrun the town with pups!" Avery sighed pinching the bridge of her nose. "Hey, I cannot help it that donuts are delicious, and my mate keeps wearing those suits." Katie huffed like a child crossing her arms clearly not sorry in the least. "Great first impression you guys." The woman introduced as Laurie sighed shaking her head stepping in front of her sisters. Sisters... the term was wrong considering they were clearly not related but there was no better way to describe their relationship. I wished I had this kind of brotherhood with my Gamma and Beta. "I would like you to meet my niece and our future Gamma Lilly." A small pixie like woman entered the office with a small smile giving a curtsy which made us all chuckle slightly. "I'm sorry that I am not used to formalities!" she huffed matching Katies expression. "It is okay Lilly. Formalities make me uncomfortable anyways." I explained smiling at the woman giving a small bow of respect. "Your Alpha Aaron? You’re as hot as the stories! I like the man bun it makes your green eyes stick out more." This woman clearly had a habit of word vomit. I could see now why she was Gamma and not Luna because you did not always want to tell other packs everything. "Thank you, Lilly... I appreciate it." "Okay and finally, we would like you to meet our future Luna. We have not introduced her as Luna to any other packs yet so please keep the information to yourself." Avery explained slowly. "You do not have a future Beta named yet?" I tilted my head slightly confused. "We decided on our Luna yesterday and wanted her to have her choice of Beta. Lilly was a clear choice for Gamma due to her work in the community, connections with outside packs, and the close bond they share with one another. So that choice was easy to make." I nodded absorbing everything that Avery was saying and winced slightly as the large oak doors to the office slammed open. Before I could comprehend what was happening a tiny blonde ball of energy came rushing into the room nearly taking Liam to the ground. Luckily, he landed in one of the black office chairs that surrounded the oak table we were all standing around. "Uncle Liam! Angela said we have a visitor! Is that true!" The little boy bounced in the Alphas arms so excited I thought he would break the chair from all the bouncing. "Yes, we have a visitor, but I do not think you should be here right now." Liam said nervously trying to show the boy out of the room. However, before he could the boy ran around him quickly and stood before me. Just like with Angela I knelt before him so he could talk to me. Although, unlike with Angela I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying because something about him seemed familiar and it was when I saw his grey eyes move like clouds that it hit me. I cupped his cheeks and stood slowly looking at the others in the room. "She... She is here... Wait how... when... I mean..." "Cat got your tongue Alpha?" A voice I had not heard in years fluttered through my ears filling me with both peace and fear. Slowly, I turned expecting to see the small little maid of my past. However, who stood before me was anything but. Her once malnourished frame was filled out with muscles. Her hair was now the color of fire no longer filthy with dirt and oil. However, it was her eyes that surprised me the most. The fear and timidness were now entirely gone and replaced by an overwhelming amount of confidence and a small sign of nervousness in her jaw as I saw it clench. This woman was no longer the friend I remember from my past but the strong future Luna of this pack. Slowly I moved towards her not noticing how everyone in the room was completely still even the energizer bunny of a child. I reached my hand up and frowned when I noticed a tiny flinch so small that I knew only I saw it. I paused for a second and continued only when I saw her nod softly. Her once tattered and cold skin was now smooth and filled with warmth and I wasn't sure if I wanted to cry in happiness or cry in sorrow that it took her leaving for her to find her worth. "Chase..." She nodded softly leaning into my hand for a split second before pulling away and walking around me to pick up the blonde boy. "Hello, Alpha Aaron, it is good to see you once more." "Is he...?" I did not want to acknowledge it, but the boy was a spitting image of my Gamma. "He is mine. Alpha Aaron, I would like you to meet my son Aaron Camble." I saw her cheeks grow pink as she said the boy’s name even as pride filled me from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. I clearly knew he was not mine since we had never been intimate, but I loved that he did not have that monsters name. "Alpha Aaron this is our future Luna Chase Camble. You can see why we did not allow anyone else in your pack to enter our territory." Alpha Liam interrupted our short conversation and I had to shake my head to bring me back to reality having forgotten there were other people in the room. "Wait he doesn't know does he." "This is my son not that monsters, and do not EVER push the subject or we can part ways right now." Case said mater of factly tucking her son against her neck clearly using him to calm her nerves. "I understand. It is nice to meet you future Luna Chase." I could do nothing but give a slight bow. What did I not know about this story? Is this child the reason she broke the mate bond with Grayson? Why did she leave with our pack’s future Gamma? Lastly... Why did she look at me like I was one of the last people on the planet she wanted to see?
