I watched Carlos leave the dungeon and just shook my head. I couldn't help but be happy for my Beta. He deserved to have someone who cared about him as much as Carlos did. He'd been dealt a shitty hand in the love department and he deserved this happiness in the midst of the world falling apart.
Shaking my head again, I moved my attention back to Lyal, "So that is Carlos." I chuckled watching the Lycan turn red with embarrassment.
"You couldn't have told me that before I went all knight in shining armor trying to defend his mate... against him!"
