"Can I take you to the hospital to get checked on or home?" He asks as we walk towards the parking lot. I'm too engrossed in my own pain to realize I'm still in his arms. I lean into him more deeper."I'm sorry princess, I should have followed that asshole into the house or I ---"
" Shhhhhhhhhh" I shush him covering his mouth with my palm." It's not your fault Bally." I look at him but he looks at me an amused grin plastered on his face.
"What's with that look? Huh." I ask wiping off the tears that keeps pooling out of my eyes non-stop.
"Say that again." He grins widely now.
"Say what Bally?" I ask raising a brow as he wipes my tears with his thumbs leaning a bit closer to me.
"Oh s**t, there you go again without knowing." He smiles and I look at him confused." I like the sound of that name Bally." He says winking down at me.
"Oh" That's what I manage to say as I bite my lip looking away.
"Don't do that again princess"
"Do what?" I ask looking at him again.
"Biting your lip." He says as we approach his BMW car and he opens it placing me gently on the passenger seat. It has a leather interior, sunroof and built-in navigation system, wow. "Hospital or home?"
"I hate hospitals besides, I'm not in a bad shape, you can just take me home but you don't know where we live." I say softly and he nods.
" I meant my home not yours, if that's okay with you?" I whimper patting my hands on my ripped dress as I look away leaning on the window screen of the car. "I'm not going to do anything stupid to you princess, I know we started on the---"
" Bally! Will you stop bantering here and start the car please, you're not helping, my ass is even in pain, I feel like standing, I can't sit here much longer, take me wherever you want I don't care!" I shout cutting him off and he nods getting on the driver seat as he rolls his eyes at the same time rolling the car window up.
We drive for a couple of minutes in silence and then he clears his throat Changing the gearshifts a couple of times as we stop at the red light.
"Our house is just around the corner, it's a five minute drive from here." I've been sobbing without knowing. So I just nod trying to keep my sobs quiet, I feel like s**t it's like my body can't survive the night. "Princesses don't cry." He sighs wiping away the thick tears running down my cheeks with his thumb and I look out of the window trying not to make a noise as more tears threatens to fall.
I feel like s**t. My voice cracks when I whisper, "Thank you." He drives slowly his eyes focused on the road one hand on the gear shift and the other hand is on the steering wheel. Occasionally he moves his right hand from the gear shift and rakes it in his messy hair now. There isn't much to do in here so I'm watching him silently but I realize it's creepy.
I look away and focus on the fast moving trees and houses alongside the road. I feel embarrassed when I look down on my ripped dress. Ballice is quiet, he glances at me from his peripheral vision and then focuses back on the road.
I watch him run his tongue over his bottom lip. It's quick and probably unintentional but it's damn hot. I shiver as my freaking heart does a little tremor.
It kind of hurts, he's so damn attractive, his smile is the most cute thing alive.
My head smacks against the window and I hiss in a painful breath. He grimaces over at me but stays quiet.
We pull up to a short driveway, trees sprawled on its sideways and it's glowing brightly with automatic lights highlighting the massive building which comes into view, they're really lucky. Their house is in the middle of Hudson city but they still have an enormous compound looking so Clean and attractive.
I feel out of space as he parks the car getting out. He moves to my passenger side and opens the door. He leans closer to lift me but I stop him this time. He sighs opening the door wider for me to get out.
I swallow dryly stepping out of the car barefooted as I wince in pain. My left leg is a lost cause. I look up at the velvet sky, the stars and the half moon hanging on it glitters like diamond so beautifully.
I take a step forward and I suck in pain. Ballice sees my reaction and he immediately scoops me from the ground without a warning my legs resting on his waist. I rest my head on the crook of his neck hiding the embarrassment as we walk towards the main door.
I spin my head around stalking the environment with my eyes as we walk. Most parts of this house are made of glass giving it a more breathtaking look. There is a yard on its side, so we can call it a side yard, it's a little sloppy to it's further end and a swimming pool starts from that end going to the backyard. Jesus what a view. I inhale sharply.
None of this is my theme but it's really exquisite. We walk into the living room and my breathing hitches. The outside view doesn't say it all. It's so spacious with a home theatre screen hanging on the wall. It has sleek and modern furnitures around. The white coaches and dark red cushions adds up to the view together with the round glass tables sitting at the centre of the room. There are some pictures hanging on one side of wall. It has a fresh scent of lavender so I assume it's a lavender air freshener. It's also silent making me wonder if people do live in here, maybe they're asleep because it's almost midnight.
He walks us up the grand staircase opening the door to a pitch black room on the second floor and he gently puts me down. My eyes adjust to the darkness, the only light present is a small streak of moonlight coming through the bay window.
Immediately he clicks the lamp on his desk, my eyes roams around the room. It's so huge just like an hotel room. It has a four poster bed with numerous pillows on it's top. It's really a king-size bed.
There is a computer with a bigger screen than the television we have back home sitting on a cherry wood desk. The bay window has a built-in bench and it's curtain less. The other windows in the room are masked with thick maroon curtains allowing a magnificent moonlight to shine through.
"I'm getting the first aid kit from the kitchen cabinet, suit yourself anywhere you find comfortability, I'll be back shortly." He says leaving the room and I pull on a chair from the desk adjusting myself carefully on it.
Minutes later the door opens and Ballice comes in with a large white first aid kit.
"Kellane." I try controlling the shivers which run down my spine at the sound of my name on his tongue. When he says it, it sounds weirdly good. "You don't look fine." He tells me and I fight the urge to roll my eyes at him.
He opens the lid to the box and I feel extremely insecure under his overly observing gaze. He pulls out a damp cloth and I flinch as he pushes it on the scratch below my left knee.
"Ouch! be gentle Bally." I warn him as I awfully watch his muscles flex when moving his hands.
"It might sting." He says as he reaches for an alcohol pad and opens it. "You might need to change this dress, I don't have lady clothes to lend you but I'm going to give you my shirt if that's okay with you." I've never worn a guy's shirt but I don't have a choice.
I nod as he passes me an antiseptic cream after cleaning the scratch clean. I smear it on the scratch and I can feel like I'm not doing it well.
"You're making a mess of that." He pulls the cream from my fingers before I can say anything. "Don't move." He warns as I attempt to pull away from him. I tense as soon as his fingers gently apply the cream on the wound.
"You're very pale princess." He says and I look at him our eyes accidentally making contact with each other.
"And you're bright crimson." I swallow with embarrassment. I can't help it too. I've been blushing at him because I'm nervous around him. He doesn't say anything as he reaches for an ice pack from the freezer.
"You should put that on your back." He says passing it to me.
"What? no I'm wearing a dress, for God's sake how will I do that?" I roll my eyes looking away and he grabs the icepack from my hand.
"Turn I'll do it for you."
"Oh no! You're not going to unzip me, pure shit."
"Hell yeah, that's what I'm going to do." He says moving closer to me. I look at him shocked watching his actions. He turns me around gently and pushes the Icepack on my back through the dress making me sigh in relief. I almost had a heart attack, s**t.
"I decided to do it this way because you're going to change eventually."
